This was not our favourite hotel. The hotel is situated on both sides of the main street. The is a sky bridge but it doesnât make it anymore convenient. The staff seemed not as friendly as elsewhere and demanded to seem our membership card before awarding us points, even though we made our reservations on line. Our room was generous but it lacked windows. The property had a pool but no hot tub.

Not sure why the average reviews are only 3 Stars on average...what do you expect for $100-120/night? Good price for the quality! If you want more from a hotel, expect to pay a lot more! PROS: -Clean room and bathroom -Comfy bed -Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and a couple bars. -Coin Laundry, helpful during a long visit! -Indoor Pool -Breakfast included, has eggs, bacon, sausages, and pancakes. -Friendly staff all around. -Refrigerator CONS: -Room is smaller than average -No real desk in the room, just a small table which makes it hard to work on a laptop. -Coin Laundry dryer machine requires 2 cycles to dry clothes, for a total of $3 -Indoor Pool has strong smell of chlorine...at least it's clean? -No in room microwave, but are available in laundry room and by the pool.

I am a firefighter/pilot who has been working on the Elk Fire since it started. Myself and coworkers have been staying at the BW Sheridan Center for weeks. My travel plans changed and I called the front desk to check out of my room early. The person on the phone confirmed I was all set and that I'd receive a receipt by email. Two weeks later when I returned to check in again, I discovered that I had never been checked out and was being billed for the entire time I was gone. The managers admit that it's clear I was gone the whole time (no key ins to the room) but will not refund me the whole amount. They are basically accusing me of lying saying that although it's clear I was gone the whole time, they have no record of me calling to check out. As a "compromise" they refunded half of the nights. Someone at the front desk dropped the ball on checking me out and I am being held responsible for the charges. This is unacceptable and disrespectful to a good customer.

I stay at BW's frequently so I was a little surprised reading the comments that some said it was dirty. That's not usually them at all. What I discovered is that the building is dated. The main office is on one side of the road and the rooms are on the other. This can be a bit of a pain if you have a pet or kids. The rooms are older also and thus look dated but everything was clean and well stocked. There is no fitness center and the in room AC did not have the option for a constant fan even though there was a button for it. This was a little annoying as the hotel can be a little loud. We were woken to the ice machine early in the morning as people were using it. The room was spacious and there is a spot to walk pets which was great. Overall, not one of my favorite BW's simply because of the main part of the hotel being on the other side of the road but it served it's purpose for an overnight stay.

We stayed one night as a convenient stop on our itinerary and it was fine for this purpose. The included breakfast was better than most other hotels we stayed at during this holiday and we welcomed the fact that proper cutlery and crockery was available as opposed to the cardboard plates and cups and plastic cutlery we found at most other places. It was also the cheapest per night of all the hotels we stayed at during this USA holiday.
