This was not our first time at this property, but it had been about 4 or 5 years since our last visit. In fact, I previously reviewed this property in March 2020 and am happy to report that this is still an excellent hotel five years later. We were pleased to see the property has been kept-up very well. Although it showed some signs of age, as is to be expected, we were pleasantly surprised to hear upon checkout that the top two floors had already been renovated (we were on the third floor, so no renovation for our room just yet) and that the already-great property was about to get even better! The staff was very professional and friendly and overall this was a wonderful visit. This is a good location that is certainly built-up a lot since our last visit. There's just about anything you could want nearby from convenience stores (a Royal Farms literally across the street) to dining and shopping and grocery stores adjacent to the property and it's not far off the interstate at all. It's about a 20 minute drive down Route 9 to get to the casino if that's what you're interested in (and we certainly were). The property was very quiet with plenty of parking -- could it use more lighting? YES!! But, it's also adjacent to a residential area so there may be an ordinance issue preventing that. Onto the room: The AC was a bit loud and the room never did fully get down to the temp we wanted (the AC would have to keep turning on a few minutes after turning off), but the temperature wasn't unpleasant -- just loud. The shower showed typical wear signs around the track and corners (rust, etc.), and the toilet seat was loose (which I reported upon checkout), but otherwise the bathroom was clean albeit quite compact. That shower pressure though! Plenty of it!!!! That made me very happy. We stayed in the larger "junior suit" and found that there was a significant trash-can deficiency in the room (one in the bathroom, one in the living room -- that's it!). There isn't even a trash can in the bedroom at all! Also, there is no where near enough lighting in the bedroom, and one of the lamps could only be turned on and off from a switch on the cable which could not be reached without getting out of bed completely. In the living room, none of the lamps seemed to be controlled by the light switches which seems odd and made for controlling lighting in the room slightly more difficult. The blackout curtain had some holes in it but they weren't big enough to cause any significant light bleed. All things I assume are likely to be fixed once that room receives an update. Would I recommend this hotel again? You bet I would!! We typically tend to stay on-property at the Casino or across the street from it, but when that isn't an option, this is absolutely a primo property and it's usually a bit cheaper if you don't mind the slight drive (and if I may be honest, the property even before the renovation is better than the properties closer to the casino.) So maybe this might become our go-to after all. Really would like to see the renovation when it's done.

Perfect stay. The room was spotless and smelled clean - no chemical smells. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The young woman who checked me in was so friendly, even though I was tired and a bit grumpy. The bed was very comfortable, with fluffy pillows and a pillow top mattress cover. The personal products provided in the bathroom were excellent - sulfite free and hypoallergenic. Location was very convenient, right off route 81. All around, a wonderful stay.

My husband and i travel from CT to Florida every year staying various hotels along the way. This one is BY FAR THE BEST hotel we've stayed in. The lobby is beautiful with a small bar, restaurant and snacks. The room was really nice. Beds comfy and huge TV 55". I can't wait for breakfast! I highly recommend.

We needed an overnight stay while attending a birthday party. The place was clean and the service impeccable. Our room was very nice with a king sized bed and amenities to lounge. Our breakfast was part of our stay. The food was delicious and they allowed us to use the buffet for our meal order from the menu. Service was great and parking was ample.

My wife and I stayed here from Wednesday, 5/1 to Thursday 5/2. We were placed in a king room. After sitting on the bed's fitted sheet I noticed stains showing through it. Turns out they never put a mattress protector on it and the mattress was covered in urine. I notified the front desk and was told they will be moving us to their premier king suite. There was no housekeeping on duty to put a mattress protector on and change out the sheets. The king suite was a bit dingy and had an odd smell but we decided to stay and not cause more hassle. In the morning we noticed a nymph bedbug crawling across the bed and killed it, there was fresh blood in it. We quickly googled how to check for the signs of bedbugs (other than checking the mattress, which we did - it was brand new.) We found signs of their droppings all around the headboard, the smell in the room was them and we found a dead one. My wife was bitten at least 10 times. How did the hotel staff miss such obvious signs of an infestation? I notified the front desk person who did not at all seem surprised or concerned. We bagged up everything that could be washed and left the rest. We had to cut short our vacation and drive more than three hours home to wash our clothing in a laundromat. We lost hundreds of dollars worth of belongings. The GM was unhelpful, seemed annoyed by us, kept interrupting us and would not meet us even half way to reimburse us for our lost belongings. Stay here if you want to get bedbugs and have a hotel that will get annoyed with YOU over the issue. And don't expect to be reimbursed for your stuff. I will never be staying at a Hilton again if this is how they treat their customers.
