Checked in late. Internet didn't work or connect to any device (phone, tablet, laptop) and front desk couldn't offer any help other than directing me to the in-room connection instructions. TV only had half of the channels listed, the others would come in for a bit then cut to static. Room was dirty. Nail clippings in sink. Significant body hair on pillows and sheets. Ended up sleeping on top of the covers fully clothed. Breakfast was brownish orange juice, old hard boiled eggs, and an undercooked pancake machine. No fruit. The morning front desk clerk blamed me for not demanding more of the night front desk clerk. They could only give me a $15 discount for all of the problems occurred during the few hours I was there. I don't know why you're here but leave NOW!

The staff was pleasant, thank you. The room clean and the bed comfortable. However, the property leaves much to be desired. Nothing like many of the pictures shown. One pane of the double pain window has been broken a long time. Heat worked, but the thermostat didn’t so it was hot or off. Hot water took several minutes to get all the way down to our room, wasting a lot of water because the hot water recirculating pump was broken. WiFi was almost nonexistent, the signal too weak and intermittent to get anything done online. Many patched areas on walls half done and needing paint. Buckets collecting rain water in the lobby. Next trip we’ll plan to stop at a different spot along the way.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I checked in on Friday, Oct 25th to stay the weekend and travel around WV site seeing. Saturday night around 9:30, the fire alarm started going off. The entire hotel was evacuated due high carbon monoxide levels. We stood outside in the cold weather for over two hours as three different fire departments went through the hotel. In talking with one of the fire fighters, this happened previously two days prior at this hotel, but the staff waited until two people were down in the hallway before calling it in. I did end up getting checked out by the EMS since I was extremely dizzy earlier that day and I am pregnant. I was finally able to get my stuff around 11:45, get a refund and find another hotel for the night. Those who chose to stay didnt have cold water, would have to wait until the gas company showed up (another 45 minutes) to determine if it was safe to occupy or not. Since this event, my friend I was staying with, googled this hotel and it happened two other times as well. Once a few weeks prior and in the spring. I am shocked that they knew this was an issue they had and didnt do anything to fix it. Instead they put every hotel guest and my unborn baby at risk by allowing us to occupy the hotel.

The location of the hotel was perfect for my 2 day solo trip. The hotel itself and my room were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the hotel continental breakfast. But sufficient for my needs. The staff was courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

I checked in late, 2:00 AM. Needed to get a good night's sleep. My first room had a a malfunctioning thermostat that would not shut off the heat regardless of the temperature setting. The shower in this same room had the faucet control knob broken off so that the shower was unusable. I was moved to a second room where the heat did not work at all. In my third room everything worked. The desk clerk was fantastic, friendly, patience, professional. However, it was nearly 5:00 in the morning before got into bed.
