Super 8 by Wyndham Windsor Madison North

The room was very clean and it had exactly what we needed. A place to lay our head at night. However I would not suggest you stay at this hotel with young children. The hotel is connect to a bar, which you can see in the pictures but you can hear people coming and going until bar close at 230. The gambling machines are in the entryway and those echo as well. We did not sleep well as it seems those that stay there do not care about being quiet.

One of the main reasons that we chose this hotel was because it was supposed to include a “grab and go” breakfast. We weren’t expecting much to begin with but thought they’d at least have food and beverages available for everyone to get something to eat and drink. Unfortunately, this was absolutely not the case. We booked 2 rooms for 8 people for 2 nights and ended up having to spend several hundred dollars on breakfast for everyone while we were in Madison. What the “grab and go” breakfast items consisted of on both days included a basket with 2 apples in it, another basket with a few instant oatmeal packets, a few soggy yogurt cups sitting in an ice and water filled bowl, 1 coffee percolator that didn’t have enough coffee in it for everyone to have a cup of coffee, a fountain machine with juice and water in it but unfortunately there wasn’t any milk to be found anywhere. When we returned to the hotel later in the evening there was still yogurt sitting out on the counter in a bucket of water. There clearly was not enough food to feed our party of 8, let alone a hotel full of guests. The rooms were also very dirty and I was embarrassed to have booked this place for my family to stay at. It was nice to find that the rooms did have a mini refrigerator in them so that we could buy food for everyone to snack on while getting ready to leave for the day since getting breakfast at the hotel was not an option. It was also a huge disappointment to find that the rooms did not have closets in them so there was no place to hang our clothes and no iron in the rooms to press our clothes either. We were there for a wedding so this was incredibly frustrating as everyone brought nice clothes on hangers. The staff members we encountered were all nice so we had no complaints there. The hallway to our rooms reeked of marijuana. We would have left and checked into a different hotel but it was also graduation weekend and every hotel we checked with was either completely booked or couldn’t accommodate our party size. This was definitely not the experience that we had hoped to have for the weekend.

Booked two rooms four months earlier when reviews were really good. Rooms were not on the same floor. Not a big deal. Enter first room hair on the floor and styrofoam behind toilet to hold it in place. Floor was dirty. Asked to be moved. Was told only one room left even though parking lot was easily three fourths empty. Enter second room it reeked of smoke and had no smoke alarm. Shower caulk was horrible. Tape on the door. Had it not been so late would've asked for a full refund and left. Other room booked had dust and dirt all over. Clearly not vacuumed. One of the beds had a sheet on it so worn it was see thru. Only positive was that the bar adjoining was a ten out of ten for food and service.

This place is unclean!! The manager charged us more than the advertised rate and when asked to do something about the overcharge and the dirty room he just lied about trying to give usa partial refund. Don’t stay here unless very poor value for your money is what you want. Wyndham also just shuffled me out the door. Super 8 branding means nothing anymore!! Just my (the customers) opinion.

The Bad: $90 best price, Wifi 9MPS, Office chair broken, Full Breakfast consited of Warm coffee, instant oatmeal, weak juice. NOTHING ELSE.
