Comfort Inn & Suites Madison Airport

We booked this for a week long family trip. We brought our pup along and instead of charging I’d the 160 for the weeklong pet fee they only charged us 100. They put us on the first floor which worked out wonderfully. The staff was all exceptionally polite and pretty awesome especially the older lady in the mornings. Our room was nice and clean, there was a lot of room despite having a rollaway in there. The first three nights there was a horrible smell of pot that lingered in the hallway and permeated our room The pool was nice and it was heated. When we got there the hot tub was not working, it seemed to be working at some point during the week and I was able to enjoy at least one day. The room the pool and hot tub were in were freezing. Breakfast was good with a lot of options, the main lobby where breakfast was served was freezing though. The maid did not clean the room the entire time we were there. We had to take our dirty towels to her and get clean towels. Our garbage along with others accumulated over the week, others put theirs outside their room, we chose not to.

OMG - the room smelled like disinfectant- I almost went to sleep in the lobby! I left my car there on the park and fly but got a lift back last night and check into the Doubletree down the road... Sad as this could be a nice property - desperately in need of renovation... Sharon/Shelia at the desk and the shuttle driver were lovely....

We usually stay at Choice Hotels more than 10 nights per year. This is one of the worst we have experienced. I read previous reviews for this hotel and they ran good too bad. We chose this one because of its proximity to a lot of eating establishments. Parking was a challenge. The carpet in part of the building was in need of cleaning or replacement. The bathroom vanity was so small we could not place our bag on the counter for use. I think the most disappointing thing was the television. I noticed immediately that it was an older model and smaller than other Comfort rooms we had used. The picture on every channel was fuzzy. Worst TV I have ever had in a room. Not my typical experience. I would never stay here again.

Room was dingy, a lot of damage and stains. Mildew in the shower, a lot of hairs in the bathroom. Dark rooms, burnt out bulbs. The curtains are not just broken, but aren't even constructed to close so we had to pinch them together with a hanger during the night so light didn't stream in. Look at the condition of that desk chair. What are they thinking?? Key cards barely worked, doors don't shut right. Friends stayed at the Hampton Inn a block away and it was less expensive but much nicer. Stay away from this place.

We booked this hotel because it had an indoor pool. We checked in and went directly to the pool, just to find out the pool was closed. We asked why the pool was closed and we were told that the transformer stopped working in the pool. We asked why they didn’t tell us that the pool was closed before we checked in so we could have canceled and decided to go somewhere else. We were not given an answer. We were also told that no compensation would be given to us. Very poor customer service. We are very disappointed.
