Comfort Suites Wisconsin Dells Area

Good area, and quaint-----if you're trying to avoid the high Dells prices---this is an option. The Comfort brand is on-point, and don't be fooled by the Portage address. Good breakfast options, and check-in was seamless. Extra towels in the bathroom made it great.

We stopped here after skiing late one night and it was good. Nice hotel, great staff (from making reservation with front desk) to check in and out. Breakfast was good and it's easy access to the interstate. I love their pillows! You could hear kids running by in the hall but what can you do about that? Had a great sleep after that!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as a family in adjoining rooms on the 3rd floor. A friend recommended this location as a convenient spot near Cascade (and it is that), but I’m sorry to say it isn’t a hotel I would recommend to anyone. The rooms are poorly kept and in desperate need of updates. There’s paint chipping everywhere, rust on bathroom fixtures, kitchenette countertops in disrepair, dirt and dust in the cabinets. The beds are not comfortable, and when you ask for extra blankets they are the crunchiest old blankets you’ve ever felt. The pool and hot tubs are nice for post ski relaxation, however they ran out of towels and no one was really monitoring anything. The chlorine was so strong it could burn your nostrils and make your eyes water. The location for Cascade is pretty ideal, but the property really needs some help.

We have stayed here before, but became concerned we made a poor choice after reading recent negative reviews. Our room was clean and ready at check in, the overall stay was great! They are making strides toward improvement. We travel frequently and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We booked suites while driving (only 2 rooms left) and arrived around 10:00 at night. Upon checking in our suite was disgusting. Dried soda pop (hoping that’s all it was) in the sink, and the tub drain nearly clogged with hair. Room was stale and disgusting. We requested a different room and got one without any problem at all. This room was equally as dirty and the air conditioner didn’t work either. We again got another room which was a bit better. By now it is nearing midnight and we are just tired and want to sleep. Next morning I stepped on toenail clippings that I hadn’t seen the night before. The breakfast was disgusting, the pool area was not clean, and ceiling pine boards are falling down. The hot tub was empty and taped off. The ceiling fan in the breakfast area had dust snakes hanging off the blades and I doubt the fans have been cleaned in the last 5 years. Hands down one of the most disgusting and filthy places I have ever stayed and even a 1 star rating is far too high, especially given the $180 room cost
