Worst hotel stay on my 30 baseball stadium tour. Folks. There are much better places to stay in Milwaukee if you plan on making it to American Family Stadium. Getting to American family is not so pedestrian friendly. The shuttle service was great but you can get a shuffle from one of the many bars in the area. I had no housekeeping service. All I needed were fresh towels. No big deal with making up the bed or emptying trash. I was here for just two nights. There was no cable tv. Just Wi-Fi and Pluto tv that you can watch from your cell phone. And the tv came with a scratch on the screen that I immediately reported to the front desk for concern that they would try and charge me for the damage. The manager this morning stepped in to ring up my breakfast order at the cafe. I told her what I wanted and she said she could save me money. She ended up charging me double the price and blamed it on the menu updates. Ridiculous. She could not admit that what she did was wrong. She did not apologize or give me what I wanted on the house or even a discount. I trusted her and what a betrayal. I ended up getting a refund and going to Michael’s restaurant which is just next door with more reasonable pricing. The food there is good and you can pay on your mobile device. She needs to lose her job and I hope upper management is reading this for such disciplinary action. Trying to place the customer in line for her mistake was no beuno. She belongs in sales trying to upsell me on a brat meal at the restaurant next door.

This hotel is by far my favorite hotel we have ever visited. Not only because of the amazing ambiance of the looks of the hotel but because of the great people that work there as well. This is our second time at this location and it has become our go-to hotel when we visit Milwaukee. You couldn't ask for a better anything! Beds are comfortable, food and drinks are delicious. We love the old timey feel of the music and elevators and decor. Not old as in shabby though this place is clean!!

Rooms are spacious, well appointed, and super clean. We had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. Great food and wine. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is historic and art deco. It has these cool old elevators with beautiful doors. This hotel is beautiful and unique!

Two weeks before I arrive, I tried to reserve the 507/Dahmer Room. Paid 408.50 for a King Sized Suite but was willing to go down to the smaller room if it meant I could get the wanted room. Nite and Day Management said that they NEVER rent out that room any more. Cool, I do a ghost hunting channel on YouTube, can I get the room under it? It will at least be empty and I can try and get some evidence. I get into my 15X15 room (Room 407) and see that there's black hair in the tub and a chunk of a blonde wig on the carpet. YUK. I head up stairs to see that there's a "do not disturb" sign on the door of 507?! There's someone in THE ROOM that I called about. The room that they "never rent out" has someone in it. I meet the couple downstairs, later in the bar. They reserve the room "every year for their anniversary" and sure didn't pay 408.50. In the morning I speak with the Day Manager about everything. I paid 408.50, for a smaller room, I could have been moved to a larger room (like my original booking), I only took 407 BECAUSE two desk managers said that no one was going to be in that room, which was a lie, then tried to blame the mix up on Booking.com. I reminded him that I had called The Ambassadors 414-345-5000, they gave me the Ambassadors phone number and that I had spoken with the day AND nite manager about my request. After paying 408.50, you'd think that they'd be flexible. There are plenty of other "haunted" hotels in Milwaukee that I could have stayed at that were in BETTER parts of town with more flexible people, that don't lie to their customers and try to "make it up" to me by offering me free breakfast. How about: "You paid an outrageous amount to stay with us. How about we go to our calendar, find out when you can stay again and we will comp it?" NOPE. Nothing. No attempt to compromise or fix it. It was MY fault for booking with Booking.com. Buyer BEWARE at this dump. Avoid at all costs.

Nice vintage hotel. The bar and resturant were the highlight of the hotel. Lively staff and atmosphere. Very convenient to have food and drinks late at night after returning from a concert at The Rave. The room was average, bed was a little very hard, but wasn't too terribly uncomfortable for the short time we were there. Would definitely return again if visiting the Rave again.
