The Hermitage Inn and Taphouse

Very nice and clean rooms. Stayed here for an extended trip. Everything in the room seemed almost brand new. Only reason not a 5 star. Not much of continental breakfast and the advertised tap house is closed. It is within walking distance of a coffee shop and a greasy spoon type restaurant for breakfast.

This motel is near the downtown and easy walking distance to a few places to eat. We were in the "new section" behind the old historic building. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bathroom was spotless. The woman that checked us in was very professional, pleasant and had good recommendations for dinner and breakfast. I travel WV a lot and will stay here again. Only draw back: The taphouse is not open.

Beautiful clean rooms and hotel. Very modern and spacious. The staff is very friendly. We stayed here for a weekend for a family Christmas party 10 miles away. We recommend The Hermitage Inn for a great place to stay. They also give you a continental breakfast.

First of all we rented for 2 days because of the write up about the tapmroom..Well we had to prepay,tap room was closed we were never told.While we were there they were still renting rooms on pretence taproom was open,not right!!!Town was small,not many meal choices to be had..No bring your own at any rest.,only place to serve adult bev.was complete joke..People at desk,workers were nice,room clean,very small,they say no prepay,false,at least for us..would have loved to eat/have a drink in tap room,but got lied to!!! EdS.

The room was spotlessly clean and ultra modern. All the fixtures were new and first-rate. The employees all were friendly and helpful. That said, if you're a boomer, as we are, you may appreciate a more-traditional accommodation. The room didn't have a dresser/bureau in which to put clothes - only a desk with a neat touch-on lamp that included a charging station. The bathroom was immaculate but tiny. The king bed was comfortable. We felt the room rate was fair but next time we'll go for something older and more traditional with more space. Gen Xfer's will love this facility!
