It was one of the best hotels that i could have found during my travels. All of the staff was amazing and friendly, they were helpful when it came to finding last minute shopping and they made us feel safe as I was traveling alone with my daughter. Everything about this hotel was wonderful!

A great hotel. All staff were helpful, professional and friendly, everything sparkling clean and well presented, spacious and comfortable rooms, very comfortable beds with great pillows of assorted sizes, nice breakfast. The young man who checked us in, Nick, was especially helpful and accommodating. All staff very service oriented. Convenient downtown location.

I will begin with the positives, rooms good size and is clean and nice dĂ©cor throughout the hotel. However from the moment we arrived we were âgreetedâ by an incredibly rude receptionist with dark hair. When I replied to my husband about a comment she made, she stopped checking us in and just stared at me for several minutes. We were told rather abruptly then that parking was limited and in further conversations when we advised we were not told this, the same woman quoted that all websites and booking agents know this - our booking did not mention this. We were told we could use the underground car park at a cost of $15 a night - but this car park has limited head space and is for compact vehicles - not big vehicles. Therefore be warned unless you are a favourite you may arrive and not get parked and there is no safe parking close by. I say this because half the car park on our last night was blocked off for a special party we were told. When I asked for a manager I was told she was a manager and that she would leave a message for her manager to talk to me, but youâve guessed it, that never happened. Having checked in we therefore had anticipation about what our room would be like. Our room was large and clean but rather worrying when tried to open the balcony door, it had a large wooden rod on the floor to help lock it in place and the runner was filthy. Looking out of the windows we were right by a massive advertising hoarding which at night was heavily lit up and in the empty lot next door were a heap of homeless which for them seemed a safe place and was so sad to see so many, but was later uncomfortable when another member of staff told me if I was going out walking to ensure I had a cross body bag or a bag that could be strapped to me as the homeless take drugs and can turn violent!! There was also a random vehicle that would park in the street, then come park in the car park, then disappear but nothing was done. The hotel is also on an incredibly busy junction as other reviews have mentioned so unless noise doesnât bother you, you wonât get much sleep like me. Having a balcony was pointless as far to noisy and dirty due to the volume of traffic. Breakfast was awful with limited choice and members of the public can wander in the kitchen. Whilst I know different countries have different hygiene standards it is not something that happens in my country. I also was shocked when the breakfast preparer dashed off to see a visiting dog and was playing with it, then returned to sort food without washing her hands. I have stayed in many Best Western hotels in different countries and different States and sadly because of the rude staff, the car parking, the breakfast and the fact I was told the area was unsafe, it has to rate very low. I can only be thankful I will never visit it again.
