I have been a Marriott Rewards member for well over 10 years, and I have to say that this hotel is, if not the most run-down Marriott property I have visited, certainly within the top three. As shown in my photographs, the sofa was completely unusable. It’s clear that ownership and management have chosen not to replace this significantly damaged piece of furniture. Due to the exposed wood and cushioning, we were unable to sit comfortably on it. Secondly, the smoke detector in the bedroom was left dangling above the bed. Although I believed it to be safe, my wife was concerned that there might be a hidden camera inside. I find it hard to believe that the cleaning staff missed this issue when preparing the room after the previous guest. Third, early on in our stay, the toilet continued to run. This forced me to remove the tank lid and adjust the chain so the flapper would seal and stop the water from running. Finally, the grout on the bathroom floor tiles appeared as if it had never been cleaned or resealed for an extended period. The grout was extremely dirty, requiring us to walk on towels after showering to avoid stepping on it. Marriott, I hope you read my review, along with the numerous previous reviews for this property. This location is neither maintained safely nor kept clean, and I believe it does not meet the standards to be considered a Marriott property.

Excellent, courteous service. Very good breakfast. Now the constructive criticism: This hotel is close to I-90 and I heard traffic at night even with ear plugs in and the fan going. I requested a room on back side, facing a trail and river. This was granted first night. I requested a back side room again on third night and one was not available. No fresh fruit of any kind on first night. There were fresh bananas on third night. Problem with sink and shower drains on night 3. Manager said the hotel was shceduled for a full renovation early next year.

Don't let the photos of the obviously outdated furniture deter you away from this place. I had questioned the comfort and the setup before booking, but was actually pleasantly surprised by this place. Pros: They do allow pets (including cats), I think it's around $25 a night or caps out at $100. Customer service is EXCELLENT. I have loved about 99% of the employees I have encountered. Their breakfast is minimal but they do change their offerings, which is nice and they do have the basics (such as waffles, eggs, cereal, often breakfast sandwiches). Their rooms are actually pretty comfortable. I stayed for over a month and this has actually been one of my favorite spots we have stayed at (out of about 10 local places). Pool and hot tub do have decent hours and is usually pretty empty towards the end of the night. They also typically have complimentary bottles of cold water at the front, which I loved. Oh, and they had great and consistent wifi. They even let us have a late checkout when we requested. Cons: The rooms clearly do need updated furniture, the couches were torn in some areas and they definitely have an older vibe to the rooms, like something my grandma would live in. Parking here is HORRIBLE if you are a late night person or work late nights or even have to run late night errands. At least a few times a week parking was COMPLETELY booked by 11pm (the front desk employees were great about giving up their spot if needed though). And my only other complaint is one day, I just got back from surgery, was still recovering and on a lot of medication and because of my surgery, I couldnt have material touching my incisions so was topless in bed knocked out when the maintenance guy just walked in on me talking about there was a complaint about the AC not working, so obviously it was another room that gave them the wrong number, but still a rather awkward position so I just bolted my door most days after that (though never had another experience). We had a booking for another room after this one, and immediately regretted leaving that place. Definitely don't overlook this place. Their customer service alone was worth it.

I like this hotel because the rooms are spacious, have a kitchen, the breakfast is pretty good, the breakfast/lobby area is open all the time with comfortable seating, the river trail is nearby, it’s close to the freeway, and the staff are nice. And there’s a Panera across the street. It’s affordable because it’s shabby comfort. We are okay with shabby because the rooms are clean and large and we have two big dogs. In room 100, the desk chair had part of the arm rest chewed off, there were holes in the sofa fabric and one of the lamp lightbulbs was dead. The heater doesn’t work well. There is a pet fee and the desk clerk told me there are plans to double it. If you travel with pets, the rate for pets is a good question to ask before you book. If you like pristine and modern, this spot isn’t for you. If you like spacious comfort, it’s a good choice.

Very pleasant and attentive. Staff room was quite spacious and clean. Rooms and common areas are clean although extremely dated, quite possibly in original condition. Loved that the hotel is situated on a quiet park like lot that backs out on some sort of ravine/park area. You definitely need a car to stay here. However, there’s lots of free parking price was very good. All in all, it was a good stay!
