The State Hotel

What a great hotel - location, comfort, price, friendly staff and just an overall nice place to stay. What a find. We will be returning to Seattle and will be sure to stay at The State when we come back.

Beautiful hotel and very helpful and friendly staff! So quiet if you are a light sleeper too. Didn't realize when we booked that smoking would be an issue. We didn't get to enjoy the terrace of our room due to cigar smoke. The cigar smoke also crept into our room.

Incredible staff from check in to check out. Front desk, Housekeeping, restaurant staff extremely respectful, kind and displayed great attention to detail in meeting all our needs.

The staff at the front desk understood all of my requests and concerns perfectly. With their prompt response and excellent service, they made my trip both enjoyable and comfortable. When I told them I wasn’t satisfied with the view from my room, they kindly upgraded it for free. If I had known in advance that the room I booked faced a plain white wall and a pigeon habitat… I wouldn’t have had to go through the inconvenience of requesting a new room. Still, their response was so courteous and accommodating that the unpleasant memory quickly faded away.

The location was terrific! It's so close to Pike Place Market, just around the corner from the hotel, and a short walk without hills. The room and hotel have modern decor, and the staff is very friendly. The room was small but had enough space to move around quickly, and it took a short time to get the hang of the key card for the front door, elevator, and lights in the room. Nice security. The hotel has a restaurant, but we already had reservations for our special night out. We're looking forward to staying here again on our next trip to Seattle. It's the perfect place!
