Superior First Class Traditional Hotel. (exterior) The building that houses the Hotel Monaco Seattle began as the original Pacific Bell Switching Station and was remodeled in the current hotel in 1997. (lobby) The lobby called The Living Room has a high 2 story ceilings with a Mediterranean feeling, with wall murals and bright bold colors. The Living Room gives a cozy atmosphere with a gas fireplace and several areas for guests to enjoy a private conversation and a glass of wine. (general) The hotel offers a nightly complimentary wine hour. Hotel Monaco was voted one of the top 100 hotels in the country by Travel & Leisure. (KC 03/2006).
