We had a delightful stay at the resort. The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. We found a problem with a broken door latch shortly after we arrived, and Dustin was there to fix it within five minutes of us reporting it. After we returned home, we realized we'd forgotten a computer charger, and when we called back they quickly found it and put it in the mail to us. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The beach is only a five minute walk down the path through the dunes and scrub trees. The master bedroom has a nice private balcony with chairs that looks over the landscape, and while it was too cool for us to sit out there, it would be a very nice place to sit with a cup of coffee on a warmer day. There were only a couple of things to keep in mind. On the days we were there, the Wifi was hit or miss, and given the remote location our cell coverage was spotty as well. (But since this was supposed to be a time to experience nature, maybe that was a good thing.) If you have mobility issues. the master bedroom and bunk beds are up a spiral staircase that could be challenging, especially as the bathroom is on the main level. There is a sofa bed on the floor level if that's a concern, however. Even with those concerns, I give the resort and it's nice staff the full five stars.

We stayed here for two nights while we were in the area, but after experiencing all the resort has to offer, we could have stayed much longer. The rooms are on two levels, with the bathroom, living room, and kitchenette on the first floor, then a spiral staircase leading to a bedroom with a queen size bed and another room with bunk beds. The room was very clean. The resort has a large variety of recreation options that they provide, including tether ball, bags, kayaking, ax throwing (with plastic axes), and a fire pit as well as activities for children which as jungle gyms. They also have nice gas grills available for cookouts. Our favorite part of staying here was the ocean is a short walk along a well marked path. The beach is clean and usually empty of people, so you have plenty of space for yourself. We enjoyed visiting at low tide and actually found several sand dollars and a ghost shrimp, among other interesting finds. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

We so enjoyed our 3 nights of paradise at Surfcrest...we even extended a night! The condos themselves are so cozy (with an individual propane fireplace) and well equipped in every department- everything you need for a home away from home. This is our second time coming here- and we plan on coming back! The location is so very special. One of my favorite things about Surfcrest is the trails and the forest in between the condos and the beach. When you look out the huge window all you see is the beautiful nature landscape with birds and animals... and you can hear the waves crashing from inside! The trail to the beach is really cool too- the only buildings you can see from the dunes is the top of Surfcrest- making it feel super isolated- but it is only ~10 mins from town. The amenities are top notch too! We used the sauna, pool, and hot tub every day- (it was like our own private spa!) and even managed to go on a canoe ride up the creek even though it was rainy. So much fun! Didn't get a chance to have an outdoor fire, but would love to next time. I also love the game room there too- we played pool, foosball, darts, and borrowed many games and movies. The ping pong table was the only thing missing from last time. The staff working there are so friendly and considerate- they even checked in with us to make sure it was okay to clean the hot tub. Our stay at Surfcrest made it so we could fully relax and decompress while on vacation. I miss it there already! My only recommendation would be that the pool/sauna/hot tub open a bit earlier...maybe at 8 or 9am instead of 10.

I am hesitant to write a review of this place because, dude, this is the holy grail - full kitchen, lots of beds, fireplace, nice living space. And then the pool and hot tub. Outside, heated, open year round. WHAT? I am a selfish monster at my core and I don't want this glorious place to fill up so that I can't get a reservation. But I have to be honest - this place has everything. The sweetest staff. A beautiful club house. A perfect beach 7 minutes stroll through tall sea grass away. We didn't even get a chance to explore the wetlands/creek with the free kayaks but I look forward to that. And this place is not terribly expensive. So I will try to silence the selfish monster and just say, "Go. This place will wow you."

We enjoyed our townhouse and the amenities at this resort very much. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We visited during a rainy March weekend and were still able to use the pool area with our granddaughter as they kept it pretty warm! She was overjoyed. I am looking forward to returning during warmer months to take advantage of kayaks and canoe.
