Days Inn by Wyndham Ocean Shores

It is Xxx a bad choice for a motel. So disappointing. B a dirty room with lumpy small pillow. The bed gave us a back ache and a horrible nights sleep. The worst part is the staff blows you off. They had every excuse in the book. We will never go back again and we visit ocean shores 6-8 times per year. I pray that Bay Vue is able to open again. So much better in every way.

It did as it should to say we just slept and showered… The free breakfast was limited if any… Didn’t get to use the pool if it was operating… I don’t know what more you want me to say… Out dated interior and the grins were alright… My dogs were welcome…

A hotel needs three things: Courtesy, cleanliness and comfort. This hotel is none of those things. We arrived 45 minutes before the posted check in time of 3:00. We were told we would have to come back at 3:00. I said I really needed to use the bathroom after our long drive, could we please check in? The answer at first was no. And then it changed to, we could check in early for a fee. I asked why there would be a fee. The answer was; because we'll have to move a whole bunch of people around and it's a lot of work. Right. There was only one other car in the parking lot. No one even offered to point me in the direction of the lobby restroom. Seeing this was futile, we left the hotel and went to the public restroom at the beach. I would have at this point found another place to stay but my credit card had already been charged. We returned at seven minutes before 3:00. There were now nine cars in the parking lot so clearly others had checked in. The desk clerk thought it would be amusing to tell us we would need to come back in seven minutes. Not amusing. Our room had such an extreme odor of bleach that it was hard to breath. The bed was very squishy and would have made for a bad back ache. The furniture was not only worn out but FILTHY. Seriously, it looked like something that would be dumped on the side of the road. We asked for another room. The second room was better but not great. The carpet and furniture had huge, gross stains. The sink had no plug. The faucet for the sink had been plumbed wrong and what should have been cold water was scalding hot. The TV remote didn't work. The TV appeared to have only one channel. The kleenex box was empty. Upon check out we forgot a pillow and pillowcase on the bed. We were in town several hours after check out. Had someone called us we could have come by to pick it up. We didn't notice it was missing until we got home. No one ever called. Don't trust the photos posted by the hotel. This place is a wreck. And the view out the window is the neighbors property, which is a disaster.

Bed was awful -old and hard. The pillows were smelly. Room was filthy. Junk on property visible from room window. Dismal breakfast selection.

Check in process was ridiculously long. But perhaps that was because while I was waiting in line 2 other guests that just checked in came back to complain that the rooms were not clean so the attendant had to deal with that. Breakfast was supposed to be served at 7 food wasn’t out until 7:40. The girl sitting up the breakfast was in no hurry as we sat there waiting. Our room was clean but it was noisy.
