what a horrible stay in bellingham, wa. $156.84 (with AAA discount) for a room with no flushing toilet, reeked of cig smoke (a no smoking room, btw), and a shower curtain falling off of the wall. all i got when complaining at checkout was a sad little sorry. never again...

Horrible place and the worst customer service ever, especially from the general manager - absolutely unhelpful! The area looked very unsafe including the parking lot. Do yourself a favor and look for a stay somewhere else!

Quality inn You know when you walk into a room, and you get this distinct feeling something shady and quite possibly illegal happened in there⦠itās dark, dirty and the wallpaper is literally peeling off the walls. The bathroom is filthy, thereās unidentified marks on all the walls and doors. The locks have been tampered with and the bed is definitely uneven and on an angle and you just inherently know you arenāt safe in there.. You get the picture. Now imagine you paid 200$ for this. And itās presented to you as Quality. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever walked into. From beginning to end my experience was absolutely absurd. Our hotel room felt like it hadnāt been cleaned in ages, or was perhaps cleaned by a toddler who was blindfolded. When I went to speak to the front desk attendant in the morning - she was asleep. After waking her up and voicing my concerns I was met with no solutions other than the offer of 10% off. Coming from Canada to this hotel, that doesnāt even cover the taxes⦠I wasnāt happy with that option and after going back and forth with this tired employee we were dismissed with no apology and no solution. I am awestruck that the employee and manager had zero pride for their job and no common decency to amend a situation. Now if you look at the reviews, which I highly encourage you to do. You will find this is a common occurrence at this location and nothing is being done to rectify this sad excuse of a hotel. I do want to give props to the photographer though, I hope you got paid well my dude. Those pictures are absolutely nothing like the real rooms. To top it off, we received an email the day after check out saying we had been put on their āDo Not Rent listā ā¦. Truly an honour because you would have to pay me a large sum of money to step foot in here again. If youāre looking for accommodations in the area, thereās an alleyway near by that I assure you is a much better option.

Terrible service Showed up and they wanted $40 extra a night for our kids even though kids under 18 stay free When the front desk lady called her ābossā he told her to cancel our reservation on the spot If we didnāt pay So we had to find another hotel Customer service sucks and would never recommend this place to anyone

So it started like this ... I got an email "Rate us! How was your stay" ... so I did. I outlined how our TV didn't work, it took some convincing for them to look at it - they had to pull the whole credenza out, jiggle with the cords/plug and told us to not touch it - and about the poor condition of the room (mold in the bathroom; wallpaper peeling off the wall; you could see the marks in the tub where, at one time, there was a bath mat ... to name a few) HO for Choice Hotels reached out. Offered an apology and extra points for their program to try to smooth things over. Very pleasant; very quick response. The hotel itself.... marked me as Do Not Rent š¤£š¤£ - I was told by Choice Hotels that since they are independently owned and operated there's nothing they can do ... so clearly 0 poops given by the hotel itself and what's the point of the Chain being involved if there's really no recourse? THEY reached out to me ... and didn't like what I had to say. If you don't want a real answer to "how was it" maybe don't ask! š¤·āāļø
