The room we had was disgusting. There was pub.. hair in the tub, black mold, melted and refrozen ice cream in the freezer, splashed droplets of a red liquid on the wall and overall dirty, dirty. We checked in, dropped our bag and went right to a class reunion that night. Returned late and discovered some of the above then (no shower that night!) and the rest in the morning. I took multiple pictures and when we pursued a refund, we were denied. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We were given a room next to an access door. As our door didn't fit properly (we could see lots of light from the corridor), we were woken frequently through the night. I didn't complain at the time as I assumed at some point the access door would be locked for the night. The next morning I told the receptionist that we had had had a noisy night, explained why, and she asked if we had complained at the time. When I explained that I didn't as my husband was managing to sleep through it and I didn't want to wake him at 2 am to change rooms, she stared at me and said 'OK'. And that was it. I wasn't expecting much as we didn't complain at the time, but an apology would have been nice. She carried on with her work and the subject was closed. Even another customer standing at the desk was more concerned than she was. Eventually I said 'thank you so much for your concern' and walked away.

No stars, room very dated, missing towel rack, carpets dirty, drapes worn out, bed sunk and made crunchy noises every time I moved. Did not feel safe or comfortable here. And then breakfast, the dining area had food all over the floors from other diners, the garbage cans were overflowing and the food was not replenished. I range the service bell numerous times with no response from staff. Even the waffle mix was empty. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.

This hotel is grubby, dull, old and dark, as bad as an hotel can get. In the room 138 the arm chair was filthy. I spoke to the receptionist who said. “. Oh! I’ll take note of it.” In todays world there’s no need for grubby hotels. If the other hotels in the area had not been over $300 a night we would never have stayed here. The north west coastal hotels are outrageous this year. Some 2 and 3 star hotels charging upwards of $400 a night.

We chose this motel because of the reputation of Red Lions. The room was very dark..few lights and cold when we arrived about 8 p.m. We ran the heater until midnight when the room finally warmed. The toilet was not cleaned. I wanted to use the bathtub but there was hair in it. I cleaned it & attempted to use the tub but only the shower would work. I filled the tub with about 2 inches of water with the shower head to take a bath. The bathroom door had a huge hole in it as if a fist had been used to try to break in. The clock was set to the wrong time but the button needed to change the time was missing. We had a pet with us so were assigned a first floor room which was what we wanted. We question why we were assigned that room which was in such need of maintenance when there were only 6 cars in the motel lot and 2 people eating breakfast. I do hope this room: #134 is not representative of all at this motel.
