We absolutely love this hotel! The charm and service are exceptional, making each stay a memorable experience. We’ve stayed here several times, and we keep coming back for the warmth and hospitality that never disappoint. Whether it’s the cozy ambiance or the attentive staff, this hotel feels like a home away from home. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delightful stay!

Ivenia was the best, friendly and helpful. You knew you could count on her to address any needs during your visit. The rooms were beautiful, with a Williamsburg feel to them. Restaurant was exceptional, with delicious food and above standard service.

I had a wonderful stay! The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained. The inn grounds were beautiful — the lake on the property added such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The shuttle to the airport was incredibly convenient, and I really appreciated being able to communicate with the front desk via text — the team was always helpful and quick to respond. Breakfast each morning was a pleasant start to the day. While the selection wasn’t huge, all the classic breakfast staples were available and everything was fresh. Overall, a great experience with excellent service and a charming setting. I would definitely stay here again!

For the price, I would have expected more attention to detail: No gel in the shower dispenser. Walls paper thin; I could hear people in the next room. Coffee pot overflowed. Check out process: she never asked how my stay was or I would have told her. I wanted to book the room directly with the inn. The website only gives a toll free booking number. I did not want to go through a 3rd party. It is an elegant property and applauds America's Founding fathers.

We had a fantastic experience at The Founders in Virginia Beach, and one of the highlights was Gavin’s exceptional customer service. Not only was he friendly and professional, but he went above and beyond by personally driving us to a nearby restaurant he recommended. It’s rare to find that level of care and hospitality — Gavin truly made our visit memorable. Highly recommend!
