Comfort Inn Ruther Glen near Kings Dominion

Disgusting, messy hotel! Would not recommend. They checked us into two different rooms—one was not cleaned yet, and the other already had people staying in it!—before we ended up in the room directly next to the pool which was unbelievably loud. Staff was unhelpful. Room was filthy. Do not stay here!

This was not a pleasant experience from the start. I was told that we couldn't enter from the side doors, only through the lobby. This would make it harder to unload since we were on the bottom floor. I later saw two people enter through the side door. I went the desk and was given a different key for the room with no explanation for why. Hotel advertises dog friendly but there wasn't any dog bags or waste receptacle. We travel with bags, fortunately. The hotel was rather noisy as well. The staff seemed rater "stiff". Not recommended.

I travel every work for week. This is by far the worst Hotel I ever stayed in. Worst pillows and bed i have ever slept in. Stains all over the carpet. The countertop in bathroom is down to particle board. And there is no descent food for at least 10 miles. Please drive farther.

Very disappointed that Comfort allowed their name on this hotel. We only stay at Comforts because we feel confident that the rooms will meet our expectations. The branding company needs to do a drop-in and see for themselves. I would hate for first-time Comfort guests to think all the Comforts are kept at this low expectation. We were moved to another dirty room after complaining about our room being dirty. We stayed as there were no other rooms in the area. Carpets, furnishings, beds, and fridge were visibly dirty in both rooms. The bedding was worn and torn, curtains were falling down, the fridge was full of other people's drinks, the towels were discolored, the shower was water-stained, and the carpets had Cheetos dust...I could go on and on. We might as well have stayed at a lower-quality motel brand, at least we would have had our expectations in check.

Awful hotel. Grass was a foot tall. Parking lot “parties” were going on. Missing smoke detector in room. Ridiculous rate. Poor communication. Nothing redeeming about this place at all. Pictures online are either from another decade or another hotel. Do not recommend.
