Holiday Inn Express Richmond I 64 Short Pump Area an IHG Hotel

Even with leftover snow/slush and a busy lobby when we checked in, the common areas were clean and in order. Chris behind the desk was really nice to each guest and kept it moving! The room was spotless and quiet. Cool though - the thermostat was set to 70 degrees AC as a cost savings measure, which I changed right away. Nice to be on the first floor with the coffee bar a few steps from my room, and it felt very safe. The hotel exterior is really well lit, so the room darkening curtains were essential. I love the bathroom mirror with its amazing lighting!! I didn't take advantage of the breakfast as we decided to go to brunch. Love the 12pm checkout, too! Cathy was really nice when we had a panic moment with a lost ID (found!). And Chris was there again to send us off. All good!! Would definitely stay again.

We just stayed at this hotel last night and had a very pleasant stay. A nice young man greeted us and told us all about their new fresh grind coffee machine and gave us a bag with water, chips and nuts. Our room was very nice and had all we needed. The breakfast this morning was plentiful. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, gravy, biscuits, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, bagels, muffins, juices, oatmeal and more. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be staying there when in Richmond Va next time. Great job!!!!!!!

I have always been impressed with Holiday Inn Express hotels and this location was one of the best! Friendly staff, pristine lobby, hallways and rooms with super comfy beds. Rooms had all the amenities. Great location and best of all, hot chocolate and cookies were offered to guests af the front desk! 😀

A/C unit at room and it wasn’t maintained properly. The unit sounded like a fire alarm was going on. I recommend avoiding it if you want to get a good night. Otherwise, you can try your luck to change rooms at 3 am with your family and belongings.

We were so excited about being in the short pump área, but it really wasn't close. The exit has "0" going for it. The entrance is dark and uninviting. If it wasn't for the people, who were awesome, Janet and Destiny, then we would have left. The rooms were run down..the bed was horrible. The gym was the worst I've seen in awhile. Floors, walls bathrooms, dirty. Breakfast was so uneventful and almost grose.
