Courtyard by Marriott Newport News Airport

Everything about the visit was just fine until I entered the bathroom. It was nasty! Unsanitary! You name it. I'll let the pictures tell the story....from the scum on the shower head, which I had to clean prior to taking a shower, to the mold in the corners of the shower, both inside and out. Disgusting!

The rooms that we had were very nice & comfortable. Anthony made sure our room was feather-free as requested. Our room had a shower/tub combination. Along the inside walls there were some grab bars, which were very helpful. We did make a call to ask a question & the hotel personnel were very responsive. Cheddars Restaurant is very close by. Would recommend this hotel.

I would like to commend Shayla for her friendliness and courtesy. It was a tiring day for me traveling and upon check-in, she assisted us nicely. She greeted us with a warm smile the other couple of times we saw her around the lobby. Overall, the stay was really great and comfortable.

Lack of complimentary coffee in lobby common area. Uninviting 'dark interior' lobby. Parking fee surprise at checkout (small print beware). Room furniture needs to be replaced due to age. The Room daily rates over four nights was somewhat of a mystery.

Perfect stay. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. However, the staff is what made the stay so perfect. The front desk staff went over and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. When we forgot our toothbrushes, they were there to help. When we had an issue with our TV remote, it was was resolved immediately.
