Best Western Battlefield Inn

The rooms reeked of cigarettes and even weed. After driving 11 hours, we had to go to 4 different rooms to find one that was tolerable. The continental breakfast was literally set up in a random room, which also had a weird smell. Not sure why it wasn't in the lobby area like all others. A worker randomly dumped the cigarette stand on the ground and left it for the remaining 3 days I was there. Overall this was the worst place that I have stayed.

I wish I could give 0 stars. First room smelled like smoke, staff were helpful and moved me, but new room smelled like axe body spray. I learned that was covering up weed smell. Shower was gross with a broken stopper. No closet, broken TV. Toilet ran all night until I turned off the valve. Did not get to sleep because neighbors were partying until midnight and smoking weed and cigarettes. Fire alarm went off at 6:45 AM. Front desk worker did not know what do do and could not communicate with me or contact a manager. I asked why it wasn't a wired system and what the emergency protocol was and no one knew. Someone came who did not speak any English and pulled it off the wall but could not answer if it was a battery or a fire. Maintenance spoke a little more English but also could not answer my questions or put me in contact with a manager. I packed up and left before I could take my meetings, have breakfast, or do laundry. I had to take my meetings in my car and the manager never called me. Why don't your staff know how to respond in an emergency and why aren't you replacing the batteries often enough that it doesn't terrify and wake up guests???? There are no sprinklers or wired system, but the fire Marshall told me that hotels get grandfathered in to old codes, so definitely do not stay in an old hotel in Manasseh.

Place smells like a smoke house. Front lady did give me a refund back. Place also looks like It has some kind of mold growing, curtains are dirty. Just no bueno. No bueno. Needed the 200 min character. Trashy trashy trashy trashy trashy snd just simply trashy.

We stayed for one night while traveling. We rented two rooms. Room one faucet in shower did not work. Room two shower faucet worked but the water was barely warm. Room two toilet would not flush. I would never stay again. This hotel is in desperate need of maintenance. I addressed it to the front desk without much of an apology for such a poor experience.

The hotel appears to have been recently renovated by looks of fresh paint and updated room decor. The staff were exceptionally helpful, courteous, and promptly responded to our concerns. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We were on second floor and didn’t mind the absence of elevator. The only negative was that even though our room was very clean, freshly painted and non-smoking, the room still had a scent of cigarette smoke. The hotel is conveniently located to many sites and we enjoyed the pleasant hospitality of all workers.
