Holiday Inn Express Lexington an IHG Hotel

Checked in late and stayed for one night. Check in: Easy and quick, very friendly staff Room: Clean, inviting and quiet - 2 queen bedroom facing front Beds: Comfortable and slept great Bathroom: Clean, no issues, shower flow left more to be desired but no issues, served its purpose. Breakfast: Fabulous imo for this style hotel with continental breakfast - and plenty of seating. Would I stay there again? Most definitely.

What do I say…you can’t expect much. The pros are, there are a bunch of restaurants to choose from and most within walking distance. Free breakfast and parking. The bathrooms were clean. Big cons- there was hair in my bed, you can tell the bed sheets were not replaced with cleans ones. As soon as you got into bed you sank right into the mattress. Cindy provided me some new sheet but I had to make my own bed.

Very nice property and well lit parking lot. It sets back off the road against some trees, which makes it very quiet. Kind of hard to figure out where to turn to get back to it – but you should turn between the gas station and Applebee’s. We stayed one night. The room was great, very clean. The bathroom was small and could have been better if the door swung out instead of in. Love that there is a full length mirror outside the bathroom – wish there was an outlet next to it for hair dryers and such. Not sure if it was because of the location in the hotel, but our king room was kind of in a T shape, instead of a long room. It made it seem like more room. There is a lot of indirect lighting above the cabinets and headboards, which is a nice effect. Our room was right next door to the elevator but we heard NO noise from the elevator! Breakfast was great, as usual. The famous cinnamon rolls and the pancake machine, bagels, toast, muffins, oatmeal, cereal, juice, coffee, fruit, and hot items of biscuits and gravy, omelets, and sausage. Plenty of seating and if it was warmer, you could go out on the patio which had tables and chairs that you could eat at. I would highly recommend staying at this location when in Lexington VA!

Stayed at this property on 7/6/24 where do I start. Finding the hotel is a tad tough since it's behind a few other commercial properties with very little signage. Upon arrival and walking in the front door we were hit with a strong chemical cleaner odor that was clearly masking something, what is was masking well not sure. The two ladies at the front desk put down their phones to greet me and my family and check in went very smooth and quick. Unfortunately our room was on the 3rd floor 2 doors down from the only ice machine and vending machines on the property so the noise and foot traffic heavy all night. Upon entering the room the lighting was very poor and made it difficult to get in the door and settled in. On a positive note the room and bathroom were very clean. On a down note the bathroom was very dated and certainly could use a renovation. But I must say best water pressure I have ever had at any hotel and the shower head and pressure was top notch. That was a nice surprise. Upon settling into the room the one thing that jumped out to me immediately was the plugged in residential smoke/CO2 detector. Not sure it even meets code yet alone be used in a commercial property. Moving on to the AM, breakfast was on point. Plenty of options you'd expect in a hotel continental breakfast. Lastly overnight parking, lots are dimly lit and the night we stayed a lovely commercial bus/coach took up about 10 space of close parking, I asked the front desk about it and their response was lot is public anyone can park there. Overall property is fine. We paid $215 for a double queen standard room which is about par for the course. Would we stay here again, probably. Would we recommend it probably.

We had a Wonderful one night stay. Fastest check-in, convenient to Washinton & Lee University, great breakfast, friendly staff. Walking distance to gas, convenience stores, fast food places. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
