SpringHill Suites by Marriott Herndon Reston

A clean, up-to-date room. Nothing was old or worn out. Quiet location. Nice brunch both days, scrambled eggs, toast, muffins, bagels, english muffins, three kinds of cereal, oatmeal with eight toppings, sausage, waffles or quiche, juice, coffee ,bananas, apples, yogurt, milk. A decent price. No trouble finding parking. Had a small market which I didn't use, but I'm sure people would enjoy.

The young front desk associate with glasses who's name started with a M was very hostile, rude and disrespectful to me and made fun of me because of my disability. She laughed at me several times gave me dirty looks and spoke to me in very condescending tone. I brought these issues to other associates who I think I have good terms with but the girls hostile and disrespectful behavior got worse. I have her on video and audio doing it. She also drives the hotel shuttle van very fast in the parking lot and I'm afraid she will hit someone especially a young child (that's how I ended up in a TBI/coma i was hit by a car when I was 6 years old by someone who was driving recklessly). I have her on video driving recklessly thru the hotel parking lot and on Herndon Parkway. I brought this to other associates too at the hotel but she still continues to do it and their excuse is she is young and just learning to drive. Seriously? No accountability. Sad that I was a paying customer and I was treated like that. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Older hotel ending to be refreshed. Bed is terrible. Location not so good and NOT within walking distance of Reston town center. Average rating and I am being generous. It was inexpensive compared to other hotels and that is understandable considering location and age.

This is not the usual Spring Hill property. It looks like they did a partial refresh on an older property at some point and got cheap with some important details. This brand is typically pretty dependably clean, but this property missed the mark. * The shower clearly had glass doors at one point. The glass has been removed and a plastic shower curtain hung instead. The shower curtain does not get cleaned, and I doubt it gets replaced often, if at all. When we asked for a clean one we were told they didn’t have any. Usually if a hotel is using shower curtains they are cloth so they can be washed. This had all kinds of heaven only knows what splattered all over it. It was gross. *The room had a damp mildew smell, most likely from the AC unit. *The bathroom had a sliding door with large glass panel. Turn on the light in the bathroom at night and it illuminates the entire room. *Only one side of the bed had an outlet. * The TV didn’t work. We were told they would fix it, but that didn’t happen. *Very low water pressure. We were offered a different room, but it didn’t seem likely that it wouldn’t have the same issues, especially the shower.

Very nice hotel with a good location. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious, free parking and wifi, shuttle to Dulles Airport. Breakfast is very good, fresh and hot. The front desk staff were wonderfully helpful, polite, friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about your experience and comfort at the hotel. Thank you Tam, Chris, Alissa, Mohammed, and Ushman for making my stay a wonderful experience.
