Crowne Plaza Dulles Airport an IHG Hotel

Great staff, spacious rooms, comfortable, good amenities, and a restaurant downstairs. Special thanks to Melanie from the front desk, who was great with a couple of last minutes requests. Shuttle service also operates efficiently, every half hour, both was to/from the airport.

My husband and I stayed here as part of a Park, Stay and Go package and manager Fereshta Khanzada stepped up to make it all go smoothly. We appreciated the prompt airport pick up, the on site restaurant and a quiet comfortable room. The facility could use some updating, but otherwise is an excellent place to stay, very close by to Dulles airport.

This hotel is close to the airport, a shuttle is available (2/hour). I booked three rooms on one reservation, and despite having all names in the system, the manager refused to keep it on one reservation and split it in 2 seperate ones. Checking the invoice, my membership also magically disappeared... Apart from that: staff is very friendly, the hotel offers clean rooms, good wifi, buffet breakfast (I prefer buffet as this is typically faster than ordering a la carte). The rooms could use some renovation. Certainly a good place to stay if you need to be close the airport - you don't hear any place!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights of a week long stay in Washington DC in September and loved this hotel. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in a hotel. Given that I average 100-125 nights a year in hotels, I have some experience. The room was very well appointed and quiet, despite a neighbor's best attempt to challenge the peace. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic and everything worked like it should. It was a great jumping off point the Smithsonian Steven F Udvar-Hazy museum and a day trip to Baltimore to see the sites. It is close to several good restaurants and bakeries that we enjoyed. We also learned that it would have been better to stay here and ride the Metro into and out of Washington DC to see the sites on a week long pass rather than staying in Washington DC like we did. Plus, it would have saved us over $1,000.00 and we would have slept on a better bed. Only small issues we had were that there is no microwave in the room we had and I'm 6'6" tall, so I had to really duck down to use the shower head. Even with those two very minor inconveniences it was a great stay. We will definitely stay here again, that's how much we liked it.

Airport parking experience. Went into the Hotel to check in and was directed to a less than nice Kohl's parking garage about a block away. Pulled in at 10 before the hour and no shuttle present. Waited almost 30 minutes until the next one. On our return, we arrived at the 2G pickups spot and had to wait 35 minutes for pickup. It is obvious that they are not concerned about keeping their schedule. While waiting at the airport , we saw MANY , MANY Marriott branded shuttles come and go constantly. That is who we will use next time.
