Homewood Suites by Hilton Richmond Chester

This is an incredible property that has undergone a recent renovation with indoor pool. Very clean and readily accessible right off Route 95. The full hot breakfast is very good providing various meats and eggs each day. A myriad of restaurants are within a 5 minute drive and Southpark mall within 15 minutes having even more restaurants. The rooms show like new and are spacious. I asked the chef to prepare grits and the next day they were on the menu. Very nice. Staff are friendly and the property is super quiet. What else do you need? We will always stay here when we are in the Chester/Petersburg area.

Vallerie is the most amazing asset at HWS. She saved me more than 100 dollars by finding my wallet with over 75 dollars and my car keys!! She is an infectious personality with big smiles and beautiful personality. Kevin Schmidt is to be regarded as a very generous and great manager as it is reflected in the staff and hotel appearance. Everything was fantastic.

This is no Hilton. Exhausted from a long drive and just needed a place to sleep. Booked 2 rooms for me and a friend. Room 1 was hot. Thermostat stuck in some lockout mode. Front desk clerk had zero knowledge how to change thermostat setting in room and refused to even come look at it or call someone once we finally found him after not answering the phone for almost half an hour. Had to switch rooms with my friend to be able to sleep Room 2 smelled like someone spilled an entire bottle of cologne. And it was horrible for my asthma.

Hotel is completely renovated. Room was great-clean and very comfortable.we drove down I- 95 in the pouring rain for almost 8 hours. We arrived at the hotel exhausted, tired and hungry. Front desk was welcoming and efficient. Printed our keys and suggested we go across the parking lot to Rosa’s Italian restaurant. PERFECT! A glass of wine -a nice pizza and salad we were relaxed and ready for a nights rest. The staff in the breakfast room was attentive and made sure the area was clean and stations replenished. and all the breakfast selections were there. Muffins were individually wrapped. Fresh fruit etc. we will be visiting again on our way back down from NY in July.😀

Even during renovations this hotel is clean and tip top shape. As a diamond member of Hilton rewards I've experienced my fair share of renovation stays, I have been to this hotel three times during their renovation process and not once have I found it to be disruptive or messy. The construction crew is doing a great job and the front desk staff here is amazingly kind and polite always!
