Hampton Inn & Suites Arlington Crystal City DCA

My wife and I spent three nights at Hampton Inn Arlington Crystal City. The hotel is close to public transport and is conveniently located for sightseeing and exploring the area. Our room with two queen-sized beds was extremely spacious, clean, and comfortable, with an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The room had all the necessary amenities, including, air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi, mini refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The complimentary buffet breakfasts were delicious with an extensive and varied selection of food. During our stay, all the staff were extremely courteous, attentive, efficient, and friendly. Overall, it was another excellent stay at a Hilton hotel.

Was in town for 2 nights and stayed at this hotel. Room was good sized and breakfast was plentiful. However, shuttle service from DCA was dreadful. Took almost 40 minutes to be picked up. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Crystal City metro stop so it is very convenient to exploring DC. Lots of good restaurants a few minutes away by foot.

I was there for a visit and found the associates to be very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is clean and neat, and the location is perfect, with plenty of nearby attractions and activities. I recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for comfort on their way to Arlington.

I made my reservation through Hilton Honors using the website for the hotel, and selected the type of room I wanted based on the price and the pictures on the website, however, when we checked in we did not have the room I selected. I complained and the front desk lady said that the website was not up to date and people frequently experience what I did, but she graciously upgraded me to the room I asked for at the price that was on the website - but it was another 30 minutes after traveling all day and the second time this has happened in a Washington DC area Hilton property. Our room though was very nice, although there were two issues - the door did not have an extra security lock on it and the tolilet would run every couple of minutes. They said they would fix both issues after I left, but I feel it should have been solved in the five nights we were there. The bed was comfortable and the extra sitting area had its own tv and thermostat plus the nomral small fridge and microwave. The actual bathroom is tiny and you have to stand either in the shower or inside the farest place you can to open and shut the door. Not a good layout here, but nothing can be done about that presently. The breakfast area was crowded and had a good service crew which I got to know and they were nice to me, but the food was not up to the usual Hampton style that I have come to appreciate over the years. I did suggest upon leaving that they add flavored coffee creams to the coffee bar and was told that if I had asked, they would have secured some for me from the adjoining Hilton Garden Inn. I thought that was strange, in that if they can get some, why not just offer it all the time. I spoke to the manager about this on my departure and he agreed. We did have a very long wait of over 30 minutes at the airport for ths shuttle and had to call twice, but it finally arrived. upon departure it was on time and was one of the reasons I stayed at this hotel for the airport shuttle - We did check out the work out room and it had good equipment. the informatoin they share upon check in says they have a libvray. It is not really a library but two small shelves of books in the foyer. I travel frequently to the DC area and have stayed in many places. If I was working more in Virginia like this time I would probably select this hotel again.

This property is a great alternative to staying in downtown DC. Just one metro stop from DCA, this Hampton held our luggage in a secure room prior to check-in. As a loyal Hilton Diamond, we were also given an upgraded room. This is a very busy and large Hampton, so it’s recommended to have breakfast early, as all the seats fill up quickly.
