This property has the potential to be a truly lovely gem! We came here for a ski weekend. The skiing was excellent but the accommodations were severely lacking. Be aware of the dated rooms, thin walls, and noisy pipes. I donāt think I slept for more than five consecutive minutes during our stay due the cacophony of sounds that resounded in our room. There were multiple barking dogs, television voices from neighboring rooms, heavy feet from the floor above, as well as, heating radiators that pinged and gurgled all night long. The condition of the room needed attention: dirty walls, water marks, and dust covered lamp shades. There are positives present and they are terrific. The proximity to Magic Mountain Ski cannot be beat! Walk over with skis in hand and return quickly back for a drink immediately following your final run. The on property bar and restaurant were delicious and the server was delightful! Dinner offered a nice variety and nightly specials. Reservations are needed. Breakfast was a buffet fit for a full day on the slopes. There was also a large great room with a fireplace, games, and comfy chairs!

I have never written a bad review before, but I felt this time it needed to be said. It was a possibility that we may arrive after the 8 PM check-in. Be aware that after 8 PM you may not get in. We tried several times to contact the hotel and never once did anyone answer I left a message, but never received a call back . When we Arrived there was no one at the desk. During our entire stay there, we never saw one person behind the desk. We had to ask the bartender to find someone to help us check in. We entered the room there was a strong musty odor. The rugs were dirty. The beds, one of them had stains on the blanket and the bed skirt. I am assuming that dogs had peed on it because my dog kept smelling it. The bathroom tub was disgusting. It looked like it had never been scrubbed a day in its life. There were long strands of hair stuck to the tub walls, I brought Lysol wipes with me as I always do and as much as I cleaned that bathroom, I contemplated not taking a shower the entire weekend because it was so disgusting. The furniture was very outdated, but that is fine. I get it. It is Vermont. The entire hotel shuts down at night and there is only faint lighting in the lobby. There is no staff on site. The guests are left to fend for themselves. You have to use your key card to re-enter the building if you go out because the doors are locked, which I guess is a good thing. we did not sleep at all for the two nights we were there. We were so skied out by the beds. We were petrified. We were going to catch something. My husband actually woke up with blood on the sheets because something bit him on his back in the middle of the night . The waitress was very nice. breakfast was good and at a good price. People at the bar seem to be enjoying themselves. They seem to be regulars actually. The pool was small, but clean. The reason why I am writing this review is, I was very skeptical about booking with these people because of the actual pictures. But it got good reviews so I thought Iāll give them a shot. I am not sure who is writing the good reviews because I think itās only fair to tell you that this place is disgusting. I feel bad saying this, but I am trying to save someone from the misery we encountered. When we got home, we just did not feel like we could clean ourselves enough or clean our stuff enough. We were horrified by the entire stay. We would have left and gone to another hotel, but we did have my dog in places are hard to come by for dogs, and we would not get our money back and we drove all the way from Massachusetts.

Warning: this property has a ridiculously early latest check in time of 8 pm (especially in summer!), and it's not even mentioned prominently. We arrived unwittingly at 9:55 pm and needless to say it was closed. I ended up finding another motel nearby, which was still open. A better example to follow maybe??? And needless to say they wouldn't refund the prepaid rate...

It was a bed and a shower, but the staff is what made this hotel stay the best. When we ordered dinner from the on site restaurant, they were able to make a burger for our dog. When we left the next day, they filled our water bottles and put ice in them as well. Very friendly and considerate. They have good food at the restaurant too!

I booked this room primarily based on the excellent 4.5 rating on TripAdvisor, though the fact that it was rated a mere 7.9 ("Good") on Booking.com did make me wonder. As it turned out, the TripAdvisor rating was ridiculously high, and the Booking.com rating was much more accurate. The two good things about this room were that it seemed clean, and at the $75/night rate, it was a decent value. The bad? Bare walls (no decorations whatsoever) that were soiled in lots of places. Very tired-looking furnishings. One lamp had no bulb; I asked the desk clerk for a replacement bulb, and she said she'd have someone bring one to the room, but nobody ever showed up. Worn, sagging mattress. It was not a pleasant place to stay, and although I felt it was an acceptable value at the $75/night rate, I would not stay here again.
