We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My wife and two teenage children stayed in a family suite. Yes, the Inn has all the intricacies of an old historical building but with that is all the charm. Is the Inn sleek with top notch amenities? No, but that’s not why you should stay there. Is it a beautiful, comfortable, affordable, and filled with the allure of a simpler bygone era? Absolutely and that is what makes it special.

Disappointing Stay at the Historic Inn We recently stayed at this so-called "historic" inn, and unfortunately, our experience was anything but charming. From the moment we entered, we were greeted by a musty smell in the hallways that set the tone for my stay. The bed was horrendous—hard as a rock with pillows that felt like they were stuffed with bricks. The shower was another nightmare. The water pressure was weak, and the temperature fluctuated unpredictably, making it a thoroughly unpleasant experience. The noise the shower made could be heard throughout the Inn. To top it all off, during the continental breakfast, the fuses blew, leaving us without the ability to toast our bread or brew a simple cup of coffee. It was disappointing for the guests. . I would not recommend staying here unless you’re prepared for a truly subpar experience. Save your money and look elsewhere!

Restful. Lovely. The Inn has an old-time grandeur, slowly and steadily it's being restored, the enormous ground floor makes you feel great when you walk in. Brandon is a really nice town, small, and it's wonderful to wake up there and walk down to the bakery for authentic French pastries and coffee. There's a gourmet restaurant around the corner. The Inn has a huge backyard lawn and a great outdoor pool. Middlebury is a 20 minute drive away. A great place to stay.

This is one of the worst hotel experiences I ever had. My room had bugs in it and my friend’s room had the same. When we spoke to the manager on duty, he apologised but made no attempt to remedy the situation. I will never return to Brandon Inn and discourage all to be aware of the problem.

I left the hotel the first night of a two night stay. Not only was there no staff available, I was greeted at check-in by an envelope with my name on it at the front desk. I had to call the hotel to reach any staff and they had to refer me to someone that had to call someone else (probably in another country) to get the authority to do anything. Very creepy. The room was filthy. The walls were tattered and stained, the AC barely worked, the room and carpet smelled of urine and mildew, and there was evidence of bed bugs on the sheets. The bed itself was as hard as a board, possibly the most uncomfortable bed I have ever almost slept in since Iraq. The wifi was unsecured, so good luck with that. I didn't even want to touch anything in the room and eventually had to vacate out of disgust. Weekend ruined. As it stands I am having great difficulty reaching anyone to talk to about reimbursing me for this insult to me as a patron. The 'owner' responds to reviews but good luck contacting them with any issues.. I still have not heard back and have contacted the Chamber of Commerce in Brandon and The BBB of VT. You may not want to give me a refund but it will be my life's work making everyone aware of your scummy hotel scam.
