Holiday Inn Express Winchester South Stephens City an IHG Hotel

We were near the last few days of our four week vacation. Our favorite towns in the area are Winchester and Front Royal and since this hotel was IHG and sat between the tw o towns I made reservations. The location couldn't have been any better and the hotel any nicer, plus they had a great staff on the desk and on the breakfast bar. Our room was very clean and and c ouldn't have been more comfortable. IWhen we checked out I was taken ca re of by the manager who was very nice. Will definitely stay there again if in the area.

Stayed last night after an exhausting day of driving. Wish they were just stopped 20 minutes earlier somewhere else I would’ve given 2 1/2 stars but the restaurant next-door Roma was excellent and the waitress Anna was outstanding! The pizza? It was very good!

Main problem: bedding reeks of fabric softener, which is probably why air was turned down to 61 on my arrival: to deaden the smell. Also sticky floors, pantry light bulb burnt This is the first time I've been disappointed at a Holiday Inn Express.

Horrible horrible and more horrible. From front door of lobby to the ceilings of the room! Filthy. Rooms were not cleaned by maids, no water or milk, urine in toilet blood or spaghetti sauce on bed, mold and mildew on walls and bathroom. No security in back entrance.

Room floor and carpet was filthy. Had to keep shoes on at all times. Would it kill someone to use bleach to clean the floors? The tub had a ring around it and was stained. Little mold in bath, exhaust fan was filthy. For what we paid, I expect better.
