Aloft Chesapeake

Is considered a boutique hotel, but I would classify it as a mid range moderate place to stay for one night. I would not consider it luxury by any means, and some of the services are subpar The breakfast area charges per item and there is a wait. When we arrived, they were out of coffee, and it took 10 minutes to get a refill. A breakfast sandwich is seven dollars, and then you have to wait to get it. It just didn’t feel like a welcoming experience, and at $200 a night I would’ve expected more, much more.

This hotel has a great, laid-back feel. Staff was very friendly and the interior decoration was very colorful. Great choice of food items for purchase and the convenience of charging them to tour room was awesome! All this being said, the room itself was pleasant, but the sheets/duvet appeared to be for a queen bed and not a king. There was a large water spot over the shower, and the shower door leaked onto the floor through the thin rubber strip. Not enough toilet paper, crack in the ceiling plaster, and broken tile where the VERY HEAVY door between the shower are and vanity closes. These are small things when the overall stay was good, but if these things aren't brought to light they don't get fixed. Thank you for the great stay, overall, in room 301!!

Customer service was amazing. Young lady was knowledgeable of hotel and of the Marriott system as she was helpful with getting my account info correct even though I did not book directly through them. Hotel room was clean, bed comfortable. The fridge actually kept my drinks cold which is not always the case with these min-fridges in hotels. I thought the movie in the lobby would be loud but it wasn't. Booked last minute and no regrets. Would stay again if in the area. Close enough to everything but far enough to be off the main thoroughfare. Highly recommend this location.

My mom was thinking about moving to VA so we didn’t a week trip to visit some places. This hotel was ok. The hallways were really dark which is a little creepy but it was clean. The breakfast selection was minimal and expensive so we went out for breakfast. The room was small but clean and the pool was small but it wasn’t crowded on any day. Overall it’s an ok place for a last minute booking. Wouldn’t choose it again.

I stay here very often for business as it is across the street from my customer. Despite being a budget and mostly DOD hotel, the service here, especially at the front desk, rivals luxury brands. Kudos to everyone and everything here. You all are wonderful
