SpringHill Suites by Marriott Ashburn Dulles North

If 0 stars were possible this stay would have earned it. I have Marriott Gold Elite status. I requested a stay, using points, at the Springhill Ashburn location the week of 12/9/2024. Not only was I turned away while Hassan claimed all rooms were "full", there were two guests directly next to me who were allowed to check in. To add further insult, I was requested to go stay at my own expense at some other non-Marriott Inn 5 miles further into Leesburg. None of my travel points used for the stay were refunded. Two weeks later I am still dealing with the headache on getting reimbursed for points. The entire experience has made me reevaluate whether to continue with Marriott at all.

Worst breakfast. Piece of sausage on a very dry muffin. No scrambled eggs or granola. I would never stay here again. I stay at a lot of Springhill Suites and this one as far of breakfast goes was awful. Plus, never have been to a Springhill Suites that does not have granola for the oatmil.

Giving this establishment a 1 is a great exaggeration. We arrived at the hotel after a 7 1/2 hour flight from Dublin to find the hotel had no record of our reservation. We personally checked this reservation, in person, two weeks prior to our return. They had nothing to offer in the way of accommodation and no ingenuity in helping us find equal or better arrangements. We had a confirmation number, receipt with dates. Nothing would do.

Nice accomodations. Minor housekeeping issues. Courteous Staff. Fair price. Food fine. Noisy Lobby area. Automatic daily $20 amenity charge not revealed at booking but reversed upon checkout ... more an irritation than a major problem. That said I'd go there again.

We had made arrangements for a Park, Sleep, Fly stay here with a flight from Dulles. We arrived Saturday afternoon dropped our vehicle and Springhill Suites provided us with a shuttle to the airport. The desk and shuttle driver were very kind. To our surprise, after several hours at the airport our flight was canceled. I called back to the hotel after 9p. They found me a room and sent a shuttle. They again were extremely kind and helpful. Husan at the front desk offered a later checkout due to our late arrival and need for a late departure on Sunday. Sunday afternoon they quickly arranged another shuttle for us. Our driver David was so very kind and offered the same outstanding customer service we received from Husan. We will be staying at this hotel again on our way home from our international trip. I highly recommend this location. Our room was very clean and really comfortable. It included breakfast in the morning. I will come again and highly recommend it to others who are traveling!!!
