Traveled here last week with another couple for a seminar being hosted at this hotel. I booked a balcony room overlooking the pond. We are loyal to the Hilton brand so room selection and check in was a breeze on the app. After our plane from Dallas was delayed several hours, walking straight to my room was highly rewarding. The king size room was clean with a sitting room and appeared it could be adjoined with rooms on either side to make a suite. Ideal for large families. The pros: Front desk ladies were very helpful! Proximity to the airport is <10 minutes. If you like wildlife, the pond behind the hotel is teaming with ducks and Canadian geese and had a walking/running path. The lobby sitting area with the fireplace was very inviting however, don't plan to have a cocktail here, Vicki may physically attack you! (More on this below). It was a relatively cheap Uber trip to Park City for snowboarding. I recommend leaving about 60 minues before the mountain opens so you have time to rent equipment and get lift tickets if you need to. The con: and the only reason I couldn't leave 5 stars was Vicki, in the bar. My goodness she is aggressive. We arrived at the hotel bar to have a cocktail after a long day of traveling and I wanted nothing more than to take a glass of wine to my room, put my feet up, and relax. Not here. Vicki states the Utah law won't allow you to take the alcohol to your room but you can order room service of a glass of wine which literally comes from the same location. Another couple attempted to walk in with their 3 year old and she basically yelled at them and stood in the doorway to the bar to discourage their entrance. They also had clearly just arrived from the airport. They asked if they could enter one at a time to get a drink and sit by the fire in the hotel lobby and again, Vicki stated this was also against the Utah state law. The woman also asked to order and take to her room which Vicki also refused. I think Vicki may have misinterpreted the laws a bit because this was no issue anywhere else and I asked just about everywhere we patronized about this. There was no level or offer of accommodation. No service recovery. I wonder how many customers have been turned off by this? As a mom who often travels with 4 kids, having a cocktail and taking it to my room is something I look forward to. Vicki also kept pointing to the "Utah state laws posted on the door". She was highly aggressive and actually became the joke of our trip everywhere that Vicki may be lurking around the corner and not let you do that! As for location. If you prefer to stay close to the airport, this is ideal however, you cannot walk to any restaurants, bars, nightlife, museums, etc. You will require rideshare or taxi or order in food delivery. Now that I have stayed here, I would probably stay at the Hilton in Park City or any of the downtown locations and just come to the seminar on-site and then go back due to location. The hosting seminar was not impressed and stated they probably wouldn't use this venue again.

Checked into this hotel around 11 pm on February 12 for meetings I had with the local utility company the next day and when I was at lunch my colleague and I got emergency messages from CO saying we needed to get back to deal with an issue. We left lunch and had to check out of the hotel one day earlier around 1:30 2 pm and we were both given our receipts reflecting us being only charged for the one day however I noticed on my card they charged me for 2 days, even 2 days for parking which we were not there. I called and was told they would have to charge me for 2 days even when my receipt reflected 1 day. I am waiting for a manager to call me back to discuss these extra charges. Just beware, because they give you a receipt. That does not mean that is what they are charging you at this hotel.

Airport shuttle pickup was quick and nice shuttle bus. Front desk checked us in and gave us warm cookies, she was very nice. Room was fine, with good hot water in the shower. Good coffee in the lobby in the morning too. I would stay here again on my next trip to SLC.

This hotel is terrible. Normally we love DoubleTree hotels because my kids love cookies. But this hotel is terrible. Front desk staff were garbage, gave us no information about how to navigate our way through a very convoluted campus to our hotel room. When we asked for cookies they seemed surprised. Bartender was so rude I didn't even bother ordering a drink. Food at the restaurant was mediocre and expensive. No towels at the pool. Rooms were hot and musty. Had to open the windows. TV has like 3 channels. Overall, terrible. Not DoubleTree or Hilton standard. Stay somewhere else.

Fraud! Without my knowledge or approval they charged 30.00 to my cc plus the 8.00 i was paying separately to pay for a restaurant item. This is fraud. I did not get a receipt for the 30.00 and the only way I found out about it was the charge on my cc. Mine and my co worker's rooms had thermostats but NO WAY to change the temperatures from 74 degrees. Incompetent counter staff. Asked for a room receipt only and given a restaurant receipt only.
