Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Richfield

The continental breakfast was great. There was remodeling going on but the staff was very nice. The room was clean but it unfortunately had an overwhelming perfume smell. The fridge was without a freezer. We didn’t check out the pool area. Parking was good.

This hotel is hard to review because it was in the midst of renovation the night that we spent there recently. When we walked into the hotel, the entire lobby was taped off and we could not walk through it. To get to our rooms, we had to go outside to the end of the building and use one of those doors. Thankfully, we had a first floor room, because you couldn't reach the elevators. However, the room itself was nice--clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast had a decent selection of cereal, yogurt, waffles, muffins. They also had Jimmy Dean sandwiches which are not my favorite--especially when other chains have eggs, omelettes, bacon, sausage, etc. Overall, I had a great stay in somewhat challenging circumstances for the hotel. I would definitely stay here again (and would love to see the finished product) if I was in the area.

I stayed here twice, on both legs of a road trip. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The included breakfast was better than average, with a really fresh and tasty breakfast sandwich complementing the usual waffle maker, cereals and yogurts.

En route to Las Vegas and stayed over in Richfield. This was a predictable hotel. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately, the microwave in the room did not work and neither did the in-room coffee maker. The front desk person did heat up a plate of dinner for me…I gave up when the coffee maker didn’t start. At checkout we mentioned the electronics issues but without any response from the desk clerk. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a good selection of eggs, waffles, oatmeal, breads, etc, only limited fruit. Cereals were all high sugar without a healthy choice. The complimentary coffee was very good. Appreciate the free parking and small, but adequate, gym.

Find a different hotel. This hotel will overcharged me on a recent visit and when I questioned the charges the hotel manager refused to investigate the false charges. I am sure the hotel manager Brooke will try claim this review is false but don’t believe it. If you look at how many negative reviews there are regarding this hotel it becomes pretty clear that this hotel is not living up to Marriott standards. Even worse there are multiple reviews that corroborate the fact that this hotel routinely overcharges its guests. Lastly, almost all of the negative reviews indicate that the general manager Brooke has been rude, uncooperative and insulting to many hotel guests. Do you homework and read some of the other reviews for this hotel and go somewhere else.
