Best Western Plus High Country Inn

During our two day stay we couldn't use the in air conditioner heater because it smelled of urine. Bathroom was the size of a closet and the fan did nor work. Dirty carpet. Sofa needed to be cleaned. The bed sheet had a three inch shredded area. On the upside the staff was knowable making check in quick. Parking lot was spacious.

Absolutely stunning outdoor venue with koi ponds, walking paths, waterfalls, fire pits and gorgeous view of the mountains. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a nice variety of food choices. My favorite was the fresh cantaloupe and red grapes. We will return.

I have gone to the Best Western Plus in Ogden, Utah for quite a few years to go skiing at Powder Mtn and Snowbasin. They have always been very accomodating. The rooms are always very clean and well appointed. The included breakfast is adequate with coffee or chocolate, fruit, scrambled eggs and bacon, waffles and oatmeal. Any issues have been promptly addressed.

Unfortunately a huge disappointment! While the initial impression reading the reviews and the warm inviting fireplace lobby are attractive, the experience we had was terrible. The room was worn and in disrepair. Refrigerator did not work, bathtub cracked, bugs, no view. At best this is an old motel that is advertised as a Mountain View Lodge. The breakfast was not edible. The best aspect was proximity to highway.
