My Place Hotel Hurricane UT

This is the third time I have had an extended stay here while hiking around Zion and places between Hurricane and the park (there are many!). I stay for the kitchen, and bring my camping cook set and some dishes / silverware, so I know what to expect. The room was clean and the bed comfy; plenty of good sized bath towels and the shower worked great. I did not hear much of other guests or dogs, but the rooms on the north side are exposed to the main strip traffic until it dies down later at night. There is a "continuous fan" setting on the AC which provides white noise. There is generally coffee in the lobby, but BYO cream/milk unless you enjoy the flavored non-dairy stuff. Maintenance was a bit slim. The stop knobs kept falling off and there was a burned out overhead light which never got fixed despite asking 4 times. Housekeeping was non-existent for a 10 night stay. Front desk is generally helpful but MyPlace sites are always short staffed and sometimes there is just no one to be found there. The price is reasonable for the area - Zion is a big draw even at 40 minutes' drive away. I would stay again.

Nothing fancy but the room was very clean and comfortable. There was also ample parking for our large truck with our bikes on it. The staff was friendly, helpful, and quick to resolve our small issues. It was great being able to save a bit of money by cooking a few meals there in the room and the full sized refrigerator was great for storing our food without having to worry about our ice in the cooler.

This hotel is nice and new and clean. The beds are pretty comfortable. My problem with this place is just some simple things that make a big difference to a guest. The shower head was trashed and very little water came out. The remote didn’t work for the TV and the front desk people did not have the skill, resources or care to make it right. They also had a dog poop bag dispenser that was empty. Very poor management at this hotel.

Phone doesn’t work. Advertised American breakfast doesn’t exist. The only breakfast is buying snacks in the lobby. Wi-Fi password was written incorrectly, but finally worked after experimentation. Ireland other things have to be requested at the front desk. Overall, the room was clean but way overpriced for the lack of amenities.

We really appreciate not having a surcharge at MyPlace for our family pet. Other hotels don't seem to like pets, and this one even encourages having man's best friend along. We also enjoy the Kitchenette where we can enjoy our own home cooked meals.
