Just flew home from a week in Dallas for the MLB Winter Meetings. I found the Sheraton extremely dated and "simple." When I checked into Room 540 on Dec 6th, the room was freezing and the thermostat didn't appear to be working at all, no matter what temperature it was set. We complained to the Front Desk Manager (I regret that I cannot remember her name, but I do remember her title). She immediately sent up "Anthony" who blew me away with both his kindness and knowledge of his craft. He removed an access panel from the wall, explained the thermodynamics of HVAC and book, my room was toasty and wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about his dedication to service and customer satisfaction. UNFORTUNATELY... The next day I had the opposite problem: the room felt like a sauna. The front desk again sent up an engineer and they determined that the room could either be air conditioned or heated but the feature where you set a specific temp on the thermostat wasn't working. Their recommendation was to call an engineer in the morning and in the evening to make it warmer or colder in accordance with the temp outside (warm by day, freezing at night). It wasn't the engineer's fault, but you can imagine that as Titanium Elite member with 100 nights Marriott properties in 2024, I had better things to do than call multiple times per day for help to make the room warmer or cooler. In general, I found the hotel to provide for my needs, but it's in dire need of a renovation. I will say however that every employee I met, from Kisha to Anthony to Norris and everyone else were truly great. And of course, the room had the comfortable beds Marriott properties are known for.

I found the handicapped room sub-par--in terms of both regular maintenance as well as accommodations for someone using a walker. The main lamp could not be switched on--after the engineer came and turned it on, he told me to keep it on since it was missing the piece to switch it on or off. The extra-wide bathroom door (bathroom was large to accommodate a wheelchair) could not be closed as it was missing the piece on the pocket door to open or shut it. There were no drawers for luggage nor even a luggage rack so luggage had to sit open on the couch. There was no place to sit in bathroom except the wet bench in the shower to get dressed. (I did call and they brought me a rickety shower chair.) The bed was too high, with no accommodation to assist (no step-stool, nor rail). Nor could I reach a light-switch on the opposite side of the bed that I only found out about after room was cleaned and a light built into the headboard had been left on. Switches should have been available on both sides of the headboard. A poorly maintained and poorly designed room, and for me, a painful, horrible experience when I needed to travel despite an infirmity.

My husband booked this hotel for us to stay for two nights during the TX-OU weekend. Parking seemed expensive but we were fine with it, due to the convenience of the location. Upon walking into the hotel, it seemed fresh updated and the initial front desk lady was very kind and accomadating. Our room was ready on arrival and We liked the suite style layout. As soon as we walked into the bathroom there were tiny ants crawling around the sink. We didn't make a big deal, so we killed them and kept it moving. We left, went to dinner and came back to more ants in the shower and on the desk. Disgusting! Then the air conditioner kept jumping up to 80 degrees, no matter how many times we brought it down. Might be ok in other cities but this is TX , it's HOT! We called front desk, they sent someone to fix the air, and he did but it ended up going bad again throughout the night. We asked him, if someone could spray all the ants, he went to his bag and pulled out some spray. Which let me know, it wasn't the first time. Ugh. Finally we called the front desk to request an extra blanket for the pull out bed for my son. The clerk, acted annoyed and said we needed to come down and get the blanket. Great service, not! We will never stay or recommend anyone to stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is super underwhelming for a Marriott property. Front desk was a mix of wonderful to super annoyed we had asked for extra towels. Property is tired, hallways were like a sauna (no A/C) and the pool was super icky. This hotel needs a major reno from top to bottom. Will not stay here again.

Tralea was awesome. Thank you for your patience and hard work. I know dealing with customers all day long sometimes can be tuff and frustrating. But you handle them nice and smooth. My room was ready, cool and clean. I will most definitely stay here again.
