Wild Bear Inn

I booked with an open mind because of the discounted price. I have been in the Army 16 years and have slept in connex buildings that were cozier. Our particular room had wood panneling and old wood floors and a bathroom from the 50's. The hot water was only warm so there was zero pressure because you couldnt turn the cold on. Floors were dusty and dirty. Bunch of dead stink bugs that probably got in from the 1/2 gap on the side of the door letting cold air in. The heat was completely off so it was probably 30 something degrees when we arrived. My wife sleep in clothes because the sheets had hair on them already. I knew it wasn't going to be glorious but the rooms they show on the website are nothing like the one we received. The headboards, the brown tiled tiled shower, and the orange and tan checkers bathroom floor really dated the place. The window is very thin, and you can hear every car that goes by. I will spend a little extra next time. Restuarant looked nice but I didn't visit it.

It was a pleasure to stay in the Wild Bear Inn. Set at the edge of a leafy residential area and alongside Highway 321, this unpretentious hotel is 4 miles from Dollywood theme park and 9 miles from Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Great place for a family vacation or a couples weekend getaway!

The hotel's front walls facing the highway is all aluminum and windows which is extremely noisy at night from highway traffic. We were there for the Spring Rod run. The good things were that the office staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The beds were very comfortable, unfortunately the rooms are a little outdated. For the rates during a major event, it was a great value.

Pros: clean room. Affordable price. Nice bed. Good location. Nice outdoor sitting area. Good customer service. Pet friendly. Beautiful pictures in different areas. Cons: small toilet. $50 deposit. (Get it back). No table in room. Low water pressure.

Best stay ever! Affordable, convenient, clean…AND they text you everyday to check on you and see if you need anything!! It was a nice stay! We will be staying here again and will recommend it to everyone! Over the top customer service and hospitality.
