La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Colorado City

This hotel was dirty. For check in no one was at front desk, waited for 10 minutes for someone to help with check in. Elevators were dirty. The room was filthy, toliet had not been scrubbed it was brown. Hair all over floor, no toliet paper, towels were dirty and sheets. Never have I been to a hotel this filthy. We were ready to pack our bags and leave but it was late and there was a bad thunderstorm.

We had a roach in the room. I only saw one but there could have been more. Breakfast was ok but the milk was sour and no coffee lids. The coffee maker in the room was broken and there was no hair dryer in the room. Also only one ice machines on the third floor. The one on the second floor was broken. Has gone down hill since I last stayed there. Needs improvement.

I stayed at this hotel Nov 17-20, 2024. When I arrived there was a sign at the checkin that said that the elevator is out of order, yet that info wasn’t available on any of the hotel’s booking platforms. I have bad knees and stairs are very challenging for me. No accommodation was provided and I was put on the third floor. Additionally, on the second day I was there the cleaning staff stripped the bed and just left it with no sheets or blankets on it.When I returned to the hotel at 10pm I saw the naked bed and I went down and complained to the front desk but they seemed helpless to fix the issue and he refused to go fix the issue himself, even though there were multiple employees on at the front desk at that time. Instead I had to request the bedding and then make my own bed up. Apparently my complaint about the bed issue was escalated to the General Manager who told me she “read the housekeeper the riot act”. Apparently that house keeper decided to take revenge for my complaint and when they made up my room for my final night they set the bedside alarm clock to go off at 3 am. The entire experience was a nightmare. I travel a lot (more than 1000 nights worth of stays at various hotels in the last 15 years), but never before have I experienced such dysfunction at a property. Save yourself the aggravation of this place, just stay someplace else.

When we arrived at 10pm we were checked in fast got to our room there wasnt a toulet seat on the toilet took all our bags and 2 kids back down stairs then she switched our rooms walked .. few minutes later noticed the shower was broken, there was no stopper to put the kids in the bath. ALL the towels were still wet that was in the bathroom and .. 20mins after we got in the room the ac gave out. We had already sat in the beds etc so switching rooms was a no.. driving from orlando to California the hotels need to be nice to sleep well to drive again and i woke up my back was hurting sooo bad from the bed.. just go a little further or atop a little earlier do not stay here

This place is a dump and very poorly run. Very nasty place from checking to room to food. Look for other options
