Homewood Suites by Hilton Waco

The hotel is showing it’s age but that said the bedding was very comfortable, everything was clean, large 50” tv. Next to small pond. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good and maintained. I would stay here again. Ceiling fan over bed.

I did a bed bug check upon arrival and everything looks clean until I was laying down and felt something crawling on me and it was a bed bug! The showers are also pretty gross. The staff seemed like they did not care when I came to them in the middle of the night and said something.

Hotel is extremely tired and in need of a renovation or a preventative maintenance program at the very least. Our room had missing grout in the tile, slow draining sinks, stains everywhere, all of which could be addressed with a simple PM program. Lots of newer hotels in Waco would be a better option.

Pros: nice lobby area, decent beds and linens, good shower/water pressure. Cons: Hotel layout hallways are very long and “ twisty” . Signage confusing. Very easy to get turned around and walk long distances in the wrong direction. Very slow elevator. Hall carpets needed vacuuming the entire stay. The room was okay, shower doors were off track. Stuck my hand in the tissue box and pulled out a black sharpie marker. I have no idea. Red ant crawling inside water area of coffee pot. Was told I could get my room cleaned on an “ off” day and it didn’t happen. Stuff indifferent at best. Lots of other hotels within walking distance -I’d suggest trying one of them.

My family enjoyed our recent stay at the Waco Homewood Suites. We had a two bedroom suite that was clean, comfortable and spacious. Visiting in August, we also appreciated the great AC and ceiling fans! The location is ideal, with views of the nearby pond, walking trails, and several restaurants within walking distance. We were very close to the highway but far enough away not to hear any road noise. Lastly, the staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming.
