Staybridge Suites University Area an IHG Hotel

New ownership within the last year. If you arrive 20 minutes before 3:00 check-in there is a Required Fee of $40.00 per room. We had to wait with luggage in the lobby until then. At 3:00 check-in, the line gets long and everyone upset about being told prior of the $40 dollar fee.

Don’t ever call this hotel they are franchise who use other companies to screw you but when you have issues with what there other company say they will not take any responsibility of it they won’t return your call emails anything horrible hotel

Tanya is an amazing lady, and her customer service was second to none. She was able to help out me and gave me the utmost respect even when I got frustrated. IHG hotels never cease to amaze me. If you are ever in Tyler Texas for a business trip and need somewhere to stay, I highly recommend Staybridge Suites.

Elevator broke. We could not go up to our rooms on the third floor, One person had to bring our things down by the stairs since two of us use walkers and I have a bad knee. We spent the night in a double suite on the first floor. They voided our keys saying the rooms were rented for the night. So we are moving again.This has caused us to be later leaving and we will be charged for tonight whether we stay or go. Rooms are nice other than the low commodes. Most of the staff are very nice. I had reserved for nine nights. Hope to leave after eight.

We stayed here for a week and it was a perfect set up for our two "old lady" dogs. I called the day before and asked for a 1st floor room near an outside door if possible. They were able to accommodate us and it was a breeze for quick potty breaks. Plenty of grassy areas for the dogs to check out.
