Residence Inn by Marriott Texarkana

We booked our stay after looking online at the good reviews and the nice pictures. I’m not entirely sure if we just got a bad room or what but we had an unexpectedly poor experience. First, they had no luggage carts. Not the biggest deal but with someone who had a disability, it definitely complicated things. On top of that, our room was beat to shreds. Blinds broken, tiles in the bathroom floor not seated properly, tv cables everywhere, and to top it off our bathroom door didn’t even shut. I’m a marriot rewards member and this is probably one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The one shining quality was that the staff was nice and accommodating.

The room was better than I expected it would be. Stayed here a few years back during the renovations .All the amenities in room. Check in was a bit slow the lady didn't seem to know what she was doing. The only issues I experienced was the elevator wasn't working and the parking fee.

We stayed here during a trip to Alabama. The guy at the front desk was quick about getting us checked in without a reservation. The room was clean and spacious. We needed extra towels but the were quickly brought up to us. The only negative was that there was only one elevator

DO NOT stay here!!!! There was really bad mold in the shower and the bathroom door did not close all the way. The AC sounded like a train was passing by I did not sleep all night!!! I didn’t want to switch rooms as my kids were already asleep , It was 2 am when we checked and everyone was tired. When I brought it to the attention of the GM she told me it was not mold that it shower just needed to be re-tiled and she said she would let maintenance know about AC and door. I know mold !! It even smelled moldy! No apologies, and she refused to reimburse my stay or at least offer partial credit . Horrible stay!!!! Horrible mgt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After driving into Texarkana for work I am still sitting at the front desk and no one has helped me get checked in (15 minutes now and no sign on the desk). Other than that can’t comment on the room because I haven’t even been able to get checked in. 20 minutes and still waiting.
