I recently stayed an extended amount of time at the Residence Inn in Temple, Texas, and it was a pleasant experience. The hotel features spacious suites equipped with kitchenettes, making it ideal for longer stays or families. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests. The complimentary breakfast offered a good variety of options, from hot items to fresh fruit, ensuring a satisfying start to the day. Additionally, the location is convenient, and safe, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. The amenities offered are an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a basketball/tennis court, daily housekeeping services if you desire, as well as the free use of the laundry facility. I also loved having a lobby convenient store, available to me at all hours of the day and night. I was most impressed at how each and every staff member went above and beyond and made me feel like family! I am pleased that I was able to make Residence Inn my temporary home and would choose them again!

Was supposed to stay here for 2 nights for business. Establishment run down and old. No up keep. Woke up the first morning to find a X-Large cock roach by the side of my bed. Went and grabbed a paper towel and stomped on it. Needless to stay we had to leave for business, I took my bags and told the front desk , she said no other rooms available, not that I would have wanted to stay there for another minute. My co workers still had their rooms, we had to get to our work agenda. We told the woman that we would get back to her. We decided we were leaving and rebooked elsewhere. Upon return to the hotel to get the others belongings, gentleman at front desk wouldn’t comp the roach motel room. &165.00 for the room which was pre occupied with roaches. Shame on you Marriott

Great place for so many reasons. First, very convenient from Interstate 35, immediate off and on. Second, all the staff was great, very nice and positive. Three, very good breakfast with many hot and cold options. Four, nice clean room. Five, inexpensive price for all this. The location is a little bit strange, tucked in behind auto repair, used mattress and random buildings. But it's there and a great place to stop for a nite when traveling, or convenient for a few days for business.

The Residence Inn Tempe is okay, it definitely gives dorm room vibes but makes sense seeing as to ours location right on campus if ASU. The room was clean, staff friendly but overall it just lacked something. Very so so experience. I was only there for one night though.

We visit family in Temple 3-4 times a year, and this WAS our "go to" hotel, but no longer. I am not a picky person and rarely write a bad review, but our experience at Thanksgiving deserves one. First, I noticed that the floor entry into the bathroom was coated with a green substance. I assumed that it was probably just a permanent stain but, to my surprise, I was able to wipe it up with just a wet tissue. The issue that caused us to request a room relocation (after midnight, in my p.j.'s) was a live bug in our bed that looked a lot like a bed bug. In the new room, I noticed the same grime on the bathroom entrance, and when I pulled back the covers, there was hair on the sheets. For the record, the young lady working at the front desk did everything she could to accommodate us, but this was not her fault. In fairness, I will also note that management did make some restitution. We have been noticing a steady decline in the cleanliness of the hotel in recent years, but this was the last straw. I'll remember The Residence Inn in its better days, but we'll definitely not be back.
