I am in town for work. I have a new job and this my first trip. I made a mistake on my reservation. I was concerned I would be without a room. Clarissa Lara helped me get into a last minute cancellation when no other hotels had availability. The fact that she was concerned for me and did what she could to help me goes a long way as a customer. Thank you Clarissa!

We visited the Woodlands for a medical appointment - it was a quick trip. Aloft was very reasonably priced and near restaurants, shopping areas, etc. The hotel is close to I-45, but not so close you can hear traffic. Parking was easy, we felt safe for the most part - and the staff allowed us to check in a few hours early. Our one complaint was that we did not have hot water until the end of our stay. Shortly after check-in, I advised the front desk in person and through Bonvoy chat that we had no hot water. I was told that the boilers had to be reset and to give the hotel 10 minutes to remedy the situation. My husband and I waited as long as we could but had dinner plans that forced us to suffer through cold showers. I kept periodically checking in about the water through chat. Finally, in the middle of the night, they fixed the hot water and let us know through a chat message. I am not sure why werenât given another room - the hotel did not seem especially occupied. All the same, the price was right, the staff seemed friendly, and the room served our needs. And maybe a cold shower now and then builds characterâŚ.?

Donât waste your time with this hotel. After working all day then driving 4 hrs arrive at the hotel to find out that they canceled my reservation that were made a month in advance. The young man at the first desk told me that Expedia called and made my reservation at a different hotel. My reservation where not made with Expedia so needless to say at 9 oâclock at night we where having to go find a hotel to stay in. I would not recommend this hotel at all poor customer service. You make a reservation and they cancel without any kind of notification.

This is the rudest hotel I've ever been at. First let me preface by saying I lost my home and everything I own in the April Floods. I wfh and prior to coming confirmed service animals and a hardwire ethernet were available in room. When I arrive my disability is questioned, I'm asked what services do my dogs perform form me, the girl has the audacity to argue with me about both of my dogs being service animals, stating no they aren't. Like she knows better than me, then tells me that they have a 90lb combined weight limit which I again have to explain doesn't apply to service animals. Meanwhile during my stay I see 5 other dogs who well exceed the limit and I wonder if they were also accosted the way I was. I am told I must leave 60 for incidentals, it's 10.00 higher because I'm not a "normal guest" so I suppose their reasoning is those here due to fema, having lost EVERYTHING should have more money. Somehow? This hotel socks for business, there is no desk, the dinette table is no where near the ethernet port and the wifi is not password protected. So if you have to keep safe data from your employer go elsewhere. We lost power for days during the hurricane, there was no generator, this hotel didn't remove the must be refrigerated items from the area they call a snack bar and still charged full price while they were hot. When I asked for another key Megan was rude. And when my boyfriend, and co applicant for fema asked for one he was told he wasn't on the reservation, when numerous times before they walked him up or gave him a key the attitude was only after they couldn't charge my card for additional incidentals. Mind you, I have over 30 charge attempts ranging from 420, 385, 110, 10,60, 120 a mixture of odd amounts I kid you not, thirty two times. It locked my account and I was unable to eat for days, not even allowed to eat from their snack bar. Today I check my balance it's negative 125.00 bc somehow they got a charge to go thru on a locked account. So I speak to fema and they said the hotel should not be charging me a cent, not anything, and that this hotel should take up with fema any amounts they feel owed. I want my 125.00 back, I want a little basic human decency and compassion, and for the other front desk girl, who assumed my boyfriend was my son, to not tell me how hot he was. So if you feel like being demanded and insulted and unable to perform your job then this is the hotel for you.

First, the good: This hotel looks really nice. The lobby is cool (especially the lounge/bar area) and the pool and outside patio area look like an awesome area to hang out. Even though the hotel is located about a block from the freeway it is set away enough and backs onto a treed area so it doesn't feel like the freeway is right next door (our room looked down onto the pool and trees). The rooms are also hip and fun (I loved the wallpaper in the bathroom!), and I appreciated that they contain a mini fridge, a booth dining area, and a safe. Now to the bad: The layout of the rooms is odd. There is not really a divider between the bed and the sink area (just a wall that extends the length of the bed and no further), which means if one person is up early the other person who is still in bed is hit with the light and sound from the sink area. Also, there is absolutely nowhere to hang any towels, either by the sink or even in the separate shower/toilet room. We had to drape bath towels over chairs and place the hand towel on the counter. There is also no light over the sink, so good luck trying to do your makeup. In addition, the door into the toilet/shower area is a rolling barn door style, and once it starts moving it is like it is rolling downhill into the frame. I smashed my hand between the frame and the door handle multiple times when I didn't move fast enough out of the way of the heavy rolling door. The door also does not have a good fit in the frame - there is a gap, which means anyone outside the bathroom can hear everything happening in the bathroom. Additionally, the shower smelled musty and I detected some mildew. Lastly, even though this hotel is not directly beside the Woodlands Waterway or Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion it still seems to be a party hotel. We stayed overnight because we had a very early cycling race the next morning and were woken up at 2am by people clomping around upstairs and at 3am by someone yelling "whoooooo!!" in the hallway by our room. When we left at 6am we found a dirty towel crumpled in the corner of the elevator (late-night drunken swim, perhaps?). It wasn't a terrible stay by any means but for how expensive it was I expected much more.
