Isla Grand Beach Resort

This hotel needs a facelift. That said, the outside/pool bartender Rafael is fantastic. His blended drinks were on point, incredibly friendly and social. His play list was nothing but 80s! Great atmosphere. We won't stay at this property again but we will go back to the bar and see Rafael.

We were forewarned about noise before we booked. They had informed us of pool parties nightly. Not only did these events happen on one side of the hotel but the other side facing the street had noise from cars racing , people fighting and drunk people nightly. The resort was very high priced. It is very rundown. Constant crowds of drunks in the lobby, pool area, hallways, etc. I cannot stress enough that you stay away from this place. I’ve traveled the country and never experienced such a miserable place to stay. Lack of towels, dirty everywhere. Restaurant food was horrible and overpriced. If you want to stay at a place loaded with underage drinks, this is your spot. Otherwise, avoid it at all costs. I would gladly post my phone number and not stay anonymous if anyone asked. This place is a nightmare!!!

I had a phenomenal time i highly recommend staying at isla grand best time of my life. No better place to have a great time with extraordinary service. I give a full 5 star service. Staff will go above and beyond to make the moment worth it and as a customer is highly appreciated

I visited the resort for 4 days over Valentine's Day weekend 2025. Pros: on the beach, beautiful pool area, great onsite restaurant (Windjammer's), multiple onsite bars (shout out Half Deck and the poolside Shack), centrally located on the island, great recommendations for local area activities Cons: rooms were outdated or cheaply "updated", low quality sheets, very thin walls between rooms People: the bar and wait staff were over the top INCREDIBLE! super sweet people who gave us lists of recommendations for fun things to do and places to do (as well as making delicious cocktails!). Special shout outs to Rafael, Eli, and Trey who made our trip 1000x times more fun - we owe our awesome weekend to them!
