Tru by Hilton San Antonio North

There is Nothing wrong with this hotel ! VERY friendly people! The rooms are same as any other tru ! The breakfast was fresh and hot ! Rooms spotlessly Clean ! We had no problems in the parking lot ! It is close to lots of places to eat and the perfect spot if you are heading north out of San Antonio to miss most traffic!

We arrived at 11:10 pm for our reservation after driving 4 hours with our family. We were told upon arrival their key system was down but someone could walk us to our reserved room. 10 minutes later, someone walked us to the room, and a gentleman was sleeping inside. We were told to wait on the 2nd floor while they found another room. 10 min later, no one came back. We carried our luggage back down to the lobby to be told their entire system is down and they have no way of knowing what rooms are available or clean at this time. They were on the phone with tech support, so we sat and waited exhausted. My disabled son fell asleep in the lobby. 40 minutes later, the manager informed me the problem is not solved but she could clean a room and have us ready in 20-30 minutes (now well after midnight) or send us to a hotel 20 min further away from my appt the next day. We chose to leave and find a Hilton closer to our appt on our own, leaving the property an hour after arriving, still without a bed to sleep in. While we got a refund, it was the worst customer service experience we have ever experienced at a Hilton property. We won’t be back.

An average but new and clean hotel. We chose TRU but we know what we will get. No microwave in room, adequate but not outstanding breakfast, relative painless check-in/out. Our room key failed and so did the replacements, did't relly need them so we didn't worry about it.

This hotel was very nice and clean, convenient to the airport, walking distance to several places (Panera, Chipotle, In and Out, etc), nice gym and comfortable bedding. However, they seriously need to work on their security in the parking lot because 11 cars were broken into during the 3 days we stayed there. It’s very odd because it seems like a nice area but we saw all the cars that were broken into with windshields or windows broken out and items stolen. Nice hotel but they are going to get a very bad reputation because this hasn’t been the first time with this issue.
