Residence Inn by Marriott San Antonio North Stone Oak

The outdoor pool was dirty. It was not pleasant to swim in on a hot day. Bed was terribly uncomfortable. Food was average. Location was good. Service was good. Room was plenty roomy for me and it was clean. I don’t think it’s worth the price I paid.

This place is so great, family friendly, suites are amazing and comfortable for 6. Beautiful views, Great breakfasts, very convenient to Walmart and lots of fast food. I do wish they would clean the rooms every day instead of every three days.

Reasonable prices and convenient location near airport but without the noise and with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. We reserved a 2 room suite and unfortunately had to tell the front desk each day that our room was not cleaned nor were used linens/towels replaced. We had to get new towels from the front desk and empty trash ourselves. Breakfast is convenient and pretty standard for a Residence Inn. Hotel did make bags of ice available despite the ice machine not functioning, so this was helpful for the cooler we were taking to a local sporting event each day.

This was my fourth time at this hotel. Over these trips I kept seeing the same items. The hotel rooms were priced very reasonably at $89 but the city, county and state taxes added $15. They charge $5 for open parking but there's plenty of parking at the medical office complex next door which is mere feet away, make sure you tell them you didn't park at the hotel. Drinks and snacks at the small store next to the front desk were quite high with a orange crush coming in over $5. The carpets throughout the hotel are worn, dirty and stained. Many rooms seem to be out of service. The room itself had many problems. 1. Carpet dirty and worn. I did not to walk on them barefooted. UV light showed many stains. 2. Worn and damaged furniture in almost every room I stayed in. 3. Very noisy AC unit which I had to trip off the circuit breaker to sleep. 4. Torn and worn bedclothes. 5. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean however a drawer came off in my hand when I opened it. 6. Both TVs very old, not HD and poor image quality. 7. Extreme amount of highway construction surrounding the hotel making access difficult. Expect to spend a lot time in traffic, especially on 1604. Add 30-45 minutes to GPS predicted travel times during the day.
