The location is great and the layout is great. Food is meh, on par with most Homewoods. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. I only had housekeeping once during a 6 night stay (my choice), but no toilet paper, tissues, coffee and tea refills. Parking is a nightmare because valet can take up to 40 minutes during busy times. This is a challenge for a business traveler who needs to be somewhere. If possible, park somewhere else.

RACIST GABY AT RECEPTION. Tonight (7:15 PM, 12/29/24), a receptionist named Gaby asked me if I spoke English with an angry face, as I was trying to understand why one of the rooms in my booking was changed, a simple question. I will be filling a formal complaint upon returning home. Unacceptable insult and escalation, completely out of the blue and uncalled for. My wife, kids, and friends were taken aback by her behavior. Now I fear my personal and credit card information are at risk with her. Surreal.

UPDATE December 20th The worst hotel that we stayed in our entire life, The kitchen full of cockroaches, I talked to the manager and did not care, unacceptable, and did not reimburse any of the nights, truly a nightmare. Here are the videos stay away of this hotel. December 19th Avoid this Hotel, they have the worst staff Iâve ever met. Everyone in this hotel treat you like they are making you a favor. Since we checked the girl at the front desk very rude and did not reply to our questions she just wanted to go back to texting in her mobile and for us to bugger off Then Victor the Manager, we asked him to please have our room cleaned, he got upset and told me that they already had it into his computer and will clean up my room today. So we came late and the room did not got cleaned, I went down to the front desk and the lady said, well there is nothing I can do about it, weâll try tomorrow, again did not even looked me at my eyes and went back to her mobile and continued texting. Clearly the staff has no customers orientation,âitâs quite frustrating to have to deal with that and they make you feel like they are making you a favor I will never come back and make yourself a favor and avoid it. Also the hotel needs an urgent renovation.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite for 4 nights. 3 adults and 2 children. The room was fine, except there was a very loud mechanical noise that woke us up throughout the night. It was like the AC unit of another room cycling on and off. It didn't coincide with our ac. On Friday morning, there was a large school group leaving and we had no hot water for several hours. They only clean the room every other day, however even then they don't change the sheets. Then after check out I was not given a receipt, and told it would be emailed. I didn't get it until I called to complain about the $300 overcharge. As I booked thru hotels.com, I contacted them. I was issued a $250 refund in 7-10 business days. I am still disputing an over charge of $50 for a pet fee. Their website states it is $75 but I was charged $125. The manager lied to hotels.com, stating that the fee is $125.

We checked in early- 11:30am, to be exact. I was coming from 4 nights at a camp in the middle of nowhere, Texas, miles and miles away from any form of communication. It was nice, but rustic. I wasnât feeling good, and REALLY just wanted to rest in a comfortable bed in a clean room. The sweet ladies at the front desk were able to get me all checked in at 11:30am, set up in exactly the room configuration and location I was hoping for. The room was very well appointed- a full sized refrigerator, dishes, cookware, full kitchen and comfortable beds. I was able to immediately relax, recover, and go on to enjoy the heck out of DĂa de Los Muertos! The location of this hotel is perfect- itâs right on the Riverwalk, within easy walking distance to La Villita, the Briscoe Museum of Western Art, and the Hemisfair. We were able to watch the River Parade right from the hotelâs lounge area, as well. Another bonus? Thereâs a CVS a block and a half away. I was able to walk over there and get some high blood pressure-friendly cold & flu medicine, which made our stay even better. Simple things like this can mean all the difference between a good or bad stay. We were happily surprised with a very good, free breakfast every morning that ran until 9:30am. Although small and no major frills, the pool was clean and cool on the hot days. The gym was sufficient- it has a treadmill, elliptical and bike, as well as free weights. I loved the suite style accommodations. It makes a family stay so much more comfortable, especially with teens that like their own space. The 1-bedroom gave us plenty of space to stretch out. And, housekeeping was helpful and accommodating as well. The staff at this hotel really go out of their way to take care of their clients, and we sincerely appreciated the great hospitality!
