Red Roof Inn Austin Round Rock

I’ll keep it short 1. The desk clerk tried to steal from me by charging ten dollars extra to pay cash and I would get no receipt. 2. The first room was filthy with a non working ac and pieces of it on the floor. 3. The second room had a bed already slept in, the toilet barely flushed, the sink barely drained, the linens and towels were stained and not fresh. 4. The entire first floor reeked of weed shortly after I got there. It only smelled like cigarettes in the lobby when I got there. 5. There was dried dog poop on the floor of my room. 6. The staff was non existent and treated me like I was the problem. Really? 7. People propped the security doors open all night so there was no security. 8. The parking lot is full of construction equipment that isn’t part of their declared “renovation”. I’m sure it’s not staying there for free. 9. When I voiced these things to CS they tried to force me into a three way call with the manager. WTH is that?? 10. Trip Advisor reviews are WAY overrating this place. It’s not safe. It’s not clean. It is full of people using drugs.

The place is very filthy, this cockroaches everywhere. The rooms are very nasty, there is homeless coming in out of the hotel. Very weird crowd stays in this hotel, the hotel is mold like mold, and it needs to be renovated. I will not stay here, even if they pay me.

We took a trip to Texas during Graduation time. All of our normal places were booked solid, so we ended up at the Red Roof Inn in Round Rock. It wasn't very impressive. The room was badly in need or refurbishing. Many things were broken or crudely repaired. We asked for maid service and were assured we were on the list, but we never got maid service. The entire time we were there the lobby floor was a mess of dirt and mud, and never got cleaned. There was also the same dirt and mud in the elevator. The management did not seem to care about the place, and was quite unfriendly. We will not be returning there. It was cheaper than the other places, so it is a good place to go if you need a cheap place. You get what you pay for!

Ewwww. I just checked in, for what was booked to be a 2-night stay…but I’m thinking of taking my bags back to the car and looking for other accommodations. The fact that the lobby/check in counter area smelled like pee should’ve been enough of a tip-off. I actually wondered if the guy on the other side of the desk was actively wetting his pants while I stood there. I’m not THAT intimidating. Sticky floors in the room, sticky desktop, I’m scared to look too closely at ANYTHING cuz I know it’ll just gross me out. But the bed is large, the mattress seems okay and the bed linens look clean, and the A/C unit seems to be in decent working order. So since it’s been a long drive & it’s just me and my french bulldog, I guess we’ll brave it for tonight. Not sure what options we have at 4am anyway. If I had kids I would definitely not stay here under any circumstances.

This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever been to. That hallway stinks. When it rains signs are placed throughout the lobby and buckets are placed to retain or collect water. The halls smell like cat poo. This place is infested with roaches and bugs in the room
