Hampton Inn Dallas Rockwall

Nice folks at this Hampton! Room was just fine for us. Didn't get hot breakfast because it was so busy that the selections were depleted, but we grabbed muffins and scones that were delicious. Location was safe, parking was easy. It seemed there were restaurants and gas stations nearby. Overall, a nice Hampton experience.

Where do I begin??? This place is a sad excuse for a Hampton Inn. We stay in Rockwall frequently for family events so thought we would try a different hotel. This place is being renovated, which is only part of the problem. Sticky carpet, overflowing trash cans, moldy smell, mildew around a/c vents, just ugly, nasty, cheap. Might improve when renovation is complete, might not. On the plus side the a/c was cool. If it matters, no makeup mirror in bathroom, no complimentary tea bags, and thin see through washcloths.

Although they are renovating the hotel, it was a pleasant stay. They were apologetic and went out of their way to accommodate me. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Staying only one night, I don't need too much. What I did need, they had it. I got a really good night's sleep (which is unusual for me because I don't sleep very well). I would definitely stay here again.

Currently staying here until tomorrow. The Hilton app does not make mention of the renovation and how terrible the place looks. I’m on the second floor and the key didn’t work three time and despite it being a “non smoking room” the smell of cigarette is so bad that I woke up many times throughout the night to use my inhaler. The carpet is damp and room is super outdated. My first experience moving from Marriott to Hilton is not going well.

Enjoyed my stay at the Rockwall Hampton inn. Was working in the area for a little less than a week. Check in was very easy and the clerk was helpful. She allowed me to check in a little early since the room was available. The room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I had was that the TV wasn’t able to change input to use a Roku. Internet worked well and the breakfast was a little better than average. The location is in a good area and it’s not far off of restaurants and places to shop. It’s also located next to the interstate for easy access. During my stay I found the room to be quiet and the parking lot was very spacious. I read some negative reviews before I arrived and was a bit reluctant, but found none of those reviews to be accurate during my stay. I also stayed at this location in fall 2020 and was just as happy then.
