Hampton Inn & Suites Lufkin TX

Very nice Hampton Inn as expected for this brand. Clean, comfortable, very nice staff at front desk. Only drawback was it was necessary to drive at least a mile to any nearby restaurants. Located on busy highway US 59. Had a room on the backside of the hotel and it was very quiet.

Stayed one night while passage making. Check in was easy, quick and helpful. Room was spotless, bed was comfy, a/c was quiet and efficient. Breakfast was nice with some extras like scones and nice toppings for oatmeal/waffles. Scrambled eggs were institutional but filled my belly just fine. Coffee was hot and to my liking. Will definitely stay here again if passing through Lufkin.

There was mold on the ceiling in the shower. We stayed one night and early the next morning housekeeping knocked on the door two different times and was opening the door with their key to come clean!! Pay attention we were checking out, there is no reason to come clean until we leave.

We were on route from IAH airport to Natchitoches. Needed a stop enroute because we didn’t want to drive too far due to jetleg.. Perfectly fine stay for a chain hotel. Staff was friendly, room and hotel were clean, breakfast was more than adequate.

We were looking at a place to stay on our way to Houston. This was a great location on our way and just the right distance from Houston. It was a almost new hotel with great service. There were many restaurants near by and there was a Ralph and Cakoos for great seafood less than five minutes away.
